I don't really like wilbur pan..I tried some of his songs, but they just don't click for me

I've been on an 90s Cpop roll lately and listening to Amei all day long <3 I can never get tired of her, her ballads are just classics! I wish that she would sing more ballads in that style, but somehow her current ballads doesn't really have that "feel" anymore

I agree with everything you said lol. I can't get into Will, his voice is lackluster despite the fact he has a few decent dance songs.

I think a lot of that nostalgia also has to do with Amei's vocals. I would say her ballads started to fall by 2002 with Fever. That album had ok ballads, but it was nothing like Truth. Brave was somewhat lackluster although I found the title track on Maybe Tomorrow quite nice.

I pre-ordered Angela's new album. I'm hoping this one is better than Ang 5.0. It felt like she has gone downhill in quality with every release. Her first 3 (especially her first 2) are definitely the best of her disco.

I think Amei's ballad started to lose that nostalgia feel to it after 張雨生 died~ Ah that's the reason why some songs are current and why are classics~ I think that I loved Cpop more before 2000, well at least the ballads~

Oh really? I really loved Ang 5.0 ♥ I have yet to try out her earlier albums, but I adored Flower in Wonderland!

^ I think that's my favourite one of her's. My parents bought me the Commemorate Edition for Christmas and it took me like 10 mins to get the plastic wrap off for some reason lol.

I finally tried listening to Faye Wong recently. I started with the 將愛 album and I thought it was pretty good. Any of you guys listen to her? I'm not sure which album to listen to next.

Oh was the wrapping tight? Or you didn't want to damage it?

I spent like 10 minutes trying to open Wang Lee Hom's Heartbeat album because it came in a box and I didn't want to rip the edges off @_@

I would love to see an Angela concert...haven't seen any, maybe I can find one on verycd~

Oo! I love Faye Wong! She's amazing, I would 100% wholeheartedly recommend 寓言 (Fable) to you! Every song is just so amazing! She sounds great and the music feel so experimental!
Here are a few tracks!
Spoiler:

I didn't want to damage it, but it was tight, too. None of us could get a corner of it peeled up to start taking it off

Oh, sounds good 8D Thanks!

I don't know, I just found Ang 5.0 mediocre at best. There were a few good songs, but it has nothing on her older stuff. Her voice was stronger and her image seemed more refreshing. Flowers in The Wonderland is good, I like the ballads on it, but it still doesn't excite me as much as her first 2 albums.

I miss stuff like this:

^ Yu Yan was GOOD. The chorus is actually a christmas carol if I'm not wrong... lol.

And I really don't like Ang 5.0 too... a few songs were okay but the rest were just X_X. My favorites albums were Pandora and Flower in Wonderland.

And omg I just love her so much... sorry for this randomness. XD

@pommy: Angela had a concert DVD for her first concert in 2008... I bought the DVD and it was really good. She cried while singing "Yi Shi De Mei Hao", and she played the cello in "Bu Tong"!!!

Yeah, I'm so excited to get my copy now. The song sounds great, sorta reminds me of Zhen De (which is a favourite of mine). The photobook should be nice too.

That was such a beautiful song and I'm not even a ballad fan. And that cover is amazing. I'll definitely be getting this album.

Wow, I didn't know she was part Uyghur :O
