I can only here similarities in the beginning of the versus.
I don't believe Nami is a budget rip off of Ayu at all, there style is waaayyyy different. I don't find their music similar at all. I like Result as much as I like UNITE! Besides, Nami doesn't compose her own music. This song came out 5 years after UNITE! did.
Nami's on a total other plain than Ayu. However Nami= better dancer

nobody said ayu was always original. yeah, ayu did the whole sweetbox thing but she at least managed to "upgrade" songs that weren't originally hers. this "result" is just.. terrible.

that's what I was thinking.

I do like the song "result", but both UNITE! and that song sound very very similar. In fact, I have never heard this song until I opened the link which was now, and I was humming along with it at the first part of the first verse. I don't really know much about nami, and I can't judge anything. Artists tend to copy off of each other from time to time, and I kind of stopped caring about it

i don't know why you all just realise this song, it's been out for so many years, she had change her style till now. Back then, her singing style is very anime-ish, coz she sungs a lot of 'Gundam SEED/Destiny' theme song, and this is one of it too.

Honestly...I don't know if she copied or whatever, but these two songs are waaayyy too similar. There's even small things that happen in UNITE! that are happening here...in the same spots, in the background. So...whatever...

I think Ayu "wore" the song better

i agree with you. its one of the rare song i dont like from her because of the similarities.

and one more note to that , if you notice evn the pv ayu is a star , and have a lot of flash and cameran around her , look at nami pv , the shiny part in the cage is kind of like a reminder of ayu pv too.

as for nami she did an official cover of get wild i totally loved but for this one if she got " inspire" by ayu i prefer WAY better unite because this one is lacking something for me, i think its not as dynamic as unite .

i have to agree on teh part that nami is way better dancer than ayu ;-)

as for nami defence i foudn something funny , the part were she dance might have inspire kuu in get up and dance ( not the choregraphy ) ,just the backgroud and teh way it was filmed

YES. This is what I thought. Actually, UNITE! isn't even one of my favorites music-wise, but it's a lot better than this rip-off.

This exactly, lol. I think UNITE! is tons better, though. Result sounds like every other Nami Tamaki song pretty much, except for the verses, which...well, you know.

honestly i'm not surprised by the similarities. Since Ayu is basically the queen of Jpop, it wouldnt be surprising if Nami saw her as an influence
