^ well to be honest, nowdays, only a few male bands and JE boybands are considered as strong competition and they all avoid each others as well. Ayu could take any other female artist on when it comes to singles, but obviously people too avoid releasing when she is, and not just vv.

It's not like B'z had strong competition this week either.

I still can remembered that time when Rule/Sparkle was released , I mistaken thought that ARASHI was to release their single on the same week as her & pretty much everyone panic like CRAZY with a capital C

at least it turned out to be a false alarm after all lmao

besides avex's silly & plain dumb if they choose to go up against a Johnny's band

^ they live off otaku's and their smaller non otaku fan base I guess, it seems that it's not their songs that are popular, kinda like with some JE bands who sell mostly because the girls like the way they look, just that fan boys don't buy the cds like crazy.
