I've recently downloaded Lee Jung Hyun's mini-album and I have to say it's pretty amazing. The only song I'm not too keen on is 2night.
But as a whole, I'm really new to Korean music. XD

^I agree. Recently kpop has been bugging me quite a lot due to its tendency to overkill fads. Too many boybands, girlgroups, electronic songs, dramatic ballads, etc. If it becomes a hit, every has to do it.

^ I agree with you and I'm starting to get sick of girlbands o.o. They are dominating the music scenary nowadays. Nha I want more solo artists ;_;. (wheesung comeback xD)

^Hopefully the "trend of girlbands" is soon over... I mean, after some time, every trend ends & maybe then we'll get a new style & new good artists...

^ I hope so because these girlbands are always saying they will bring it on a new style and bla bla bla T-T. Can't wait for this trend over.

Other than that, I don't really see the resemblance.
probably the "become the stars of asia" thing SM has planned. i don't see it happening tbh, it's too late.

really? I like it. The intro "for music" is epic imo. The only thing I don't like is that this group reminds me alot of 2ne1. I never even downloaded 2ne1's album but I can tell they're similar. (only ever heard lollipop (big bang) and fire.)

^Really? Now that both groups have released their mini-albums their differences are very clear. 2ne1 is more hiphop and 4minute is more pop. Anyway new girl groups on the horizon.

Lion Ent is debuting a new girl group called Lady Collection. It will have Ji Eun, who was solo with her album Rain 2007. She was with YG but as usual with YG if you don't become major they tend to drop you.

Also TS entertainment is debuting Secret.

Han Sunhwa, Song Ji Eun, Zinger, and Jun Hyo Sung

Zinger rapping over 50 Cent's Candy Shop.

omg why did i not see this before? D:

you ought to try Kitchi Island and Superstar out for sure

if you like oldschool cutesy eurobeat then their Japanese album is definitely worth listening to, i hated it at first but it really grew on me afterwards
