What was your favorite Grammys performance?

I must say that Beyonce/Prince was weird.... Sean Paul and Sting sounded good, the White Stripes people were weird, too. That performance of Andre (I think that's his name - the guy from Outkast) in the green with the marching band was cute!

But my favorite performance of this year's Grammys was by Beyonce when she sung "Dangerously in Love 2". I really enjoyed that performance! I was surprised at her voice, she had some serious vibratto! The stage was cool, too.

So, what was your favorite Grammy performance?

Prince should have done his alone without Beyonce. I've never been able to hear Purple Rain in its entirety and I was really starting to enjoy it until Beyonce came out and "stole his thunder."

Favorite performance? It's a tie between the "Church of Funk" one and the "Hey Ya!" performance. I thought it was interesting to see so many funk artists on stage at the same time while mixing "The Way You Move" in there too. "Hey Ya!" was great because the theme was funny and the marching band was also great. Everytime I hear that song it makes me happy even when I'm in the worst of moods. In close 2nd was Christina's performance: simple, emotional, and very neat lighting effects. Just out of curiosity, where was Britney?

Ranking:
1. "Church of Funk" / "Hey Ya!" - George Clinton w/ P-Funk, Earth Wind and Fire, Big Boi w/ Sleepy Brown (?), etc.; Andre 3000 ("Hey Ya!")
2. "Beautiful" - Christina Aguilera (very good control of her voice and didn't add a million riffs to the song. she's one of the few artists nowadays that can give an amazing performance without lipsynching or excessive go-go dancing)
3. "Purple Rain" - Prince (without Beyonce)
4. "A House is Not A Home" / "Dance With My Father" (very touching! I just wish CBS hadn't ruined Celine's performance because of faulty audio equipment)
5. "(song title?)" - Martina McBride (awesome performance! she's one of the very few country singers who can sing in the genre without her songs sounding country-ish)
6. "Roxanne" - Sting and Sean Paul (even though I can never understand a word Sean Paul ever says, it was enjoyable)
7. "Senorita" - Justin Timberlake w/ Arturo Sandoval (I don't like the song that much, but the performance with Arturo's trumpet improvisations were fun to watch)
8. "(song title?)" - White Stripes (the flashing lights, man. . . the flashing lights. . . it reminded me of the Pokemon clip that caused Japanese children to have seizures)
9. "Where is The Love?" - Black-eyed Peas (I'm tired of this song, but the performance was pretty good)
10. "Beatles Tribute" - Sting, remember your words!
11. "Warren Zevon Tribute" - Very touching as well
12. "(song title?) Sarah McLauchlan
13. "Dangerously In Love" - Beyonce (. . . just no. There were so many reasons why I disliked this performance but the main one was the ending. It took her 20 minutes just to say the last note with all the riffs and runs and whatnot. So I drifted off to sleep and woke back up only to hear that she was still on that note! Beyonce, my dear friend, please learn how to take a song that could be 3min long and not make it into a 30min opera.)

Does anyone have the feeling that there were slightly too many performances? Without them the "live" (some places had the tape delay while others had the live feed) Grammy's would have been about 30min long.

I don't like Christina Aguilera new image (black hair).

But I must admit she has one of the best vocals.
