Ayu probably doesn't own DVD copies of her own show, kind of like how she doesn't really pay attention to her releases. So it's not really that 'stupid' that they'd give this to her for her birthday.

It'd be a nice thing to own, but it looks like each episode is on a separate disc and it'd probably be hell to order if it were actually put on the market. [500USD++++!?]

Also, the blog post appears to be Ayu reminiscing about what happened on the 3rd after the concert...

Undoubtedly. Even the cost of 12 episode dramas on DVD is usually well over $100.00.

It looks like they had the box specially made, but the dvds themselves are burned at home.

Neat present, it would be really unrealistic to release this for fans, they would have to clear the rights for all the songs that guests performed which would cost a lot of money and work. Not worth all the effort really.
