I'm very shocked (in a good sense) to see this single performing well on the chart

9>10>11>7>6

Looks like this single will be making it to the top 10 (the last one was royal chocolate flush at #10) despite the early announcement of her upcoming album i'm quite positive it will sell more 約束の翼 (currently her best selling post eighth world single) this is a good sign for her upcoming album

^well with misia, getting into the top 3 with a decent sales would be more than enough. If Just Ballade happens to outsell Eighth World, it would quite an achievement for her

Ya. EIGHth WORlD and ASCENSION sold about the same, didn't they? Around 10k. So if she can beat that it would be great.

Well, misia wasn't that bad with sales. Ascension sold 127,768 as you had mention while Eighth World sold 131,635. Both album sold around 70k in the first week. Consistency is the key here. If Just Ballade is able hold its own against her past two work (which i think is possible due to the success of Aitakute Ima and the upcoming single Hoshi no Yō ni...), it would be a feat for her

Still #1 @ iTunes Japan.

I wonder if people just don't care about buying her physical CD's and now just opt to buy digitally; that would be good because at least people are obviously still listening and following her.

I'm going to say the new album will sell 300,000. I know its a little high- but there is hope. This is her first major hit in quite some time- plus its being released during the holiday season.

Hmm, good sales but not exactly mind blowing, her highest first week single sales since Sea of Dreams, which is released in 2006 hopefully this is a good sign for JB

Considering it sold more than Miliyah Katou's new single and her album sold very well, I'd say I still have good expectations for the album's sales! If it hits around the same sales Eighth World did I will be happy
