TVXQ breaks Elton John's Record

The boys of TVXQ / DBSK / Tohoshinki has added another record after recently Breaking out on the Oricon with their new single Break Out!

Back in September of 1997, shortly after the tragic death of Princess Diana, Sir Elton John released a single in memory of her titled Candle in the Wind. This single had an initial sales figure of 184,000 units and because of this he held the record for a foreign artist with the most initial single sales. He held this record for over 12 years, but all records are meant to be broken and the boys of TVXQ have taken the record for themselves. The initial sales for Break Out! was a whopping 254,000 units, breaking the old record by 70,000.

TVXQ also broke their own record of having the most #1 singles for a foreign artist as this marks their 7th single to hit number one.

You get a poster depending on where you order the album from. CDJapan and YesAsia includes a poster as a giveaway. Orders from HMV receives a notebook if I remember correctly.

oh damn. I'm thinking of buying from CDJapan... there are 28 first press copies left. But I'm not sure if CDJapan is good. Is it? And the notebook... omg I have to go to HMV's website now.

EDIT: Can someone advise me on which edition of BEST SELECTION I should buy? Right now I'm tempted to buy the CD-only version cos my DVD player is region 3 anyway, and the first press is a 36-page booklet!

But I really want the 2CD+DVD edition as well cos there's a 2nd CD with all the new songs omg... ugh I'm so stuck in this frustrating dilemma...

well, the dvd region is no problem on pc, there programs that read every DVD even if it's not your region

Ellen herself has not yet said that she will invite the boys, or even talk about TVXQ in the show's website though.. the article is just saying, TVXQ is the most suggested boyband by fans..
well, i hope that Ellen realizes about this and choose to talk about TVXQ.. waiting for that
