frankly to me , a band's something that's not going to be around for infinite as there're many factors that can break a band up

it can be a gradual or an immediate effect since no 2 person's the same

then again , you look at artistes like B'z who have been around for 22 years & counting

still I really hope that's not going to happen to V6 . They haven't release a new album for 3 years now & counting X__X

V6's Inohara has landed a position as a newscaster on NHK's new morning news program that will begin on March 29th.

This will be the first time a celebrity has been a regular newscaster on a NHK morning news program, which seems pretty impressive as NHK has been doing morning news programs since 1966.

I don't think it's fair to compare against Tackey's solo stuff but I like BACKBORN on 1st listen

I like KinKi Kids's Secret Code on 1st listen so this helps in a way or 2 in me liking BACKBORN immediately

I'm still annoyed that this's probably not going to get #1 due to Hey ! Say ! JUMP's Hitomi no Screen grr

even with 4 different editions of BACKBORN , it wouldn't work in Tsubasa's favour .__.

There are 10? HSJ kiddies and only one Tsubasa. And he's not as famous as Tackey. It's sad, but he's going to loose. (Tackey would probably also loose against HSJ, to be fair)

Yes, it reminded me of Secret Code, too. I also don't like that one and KinKi Kids jazzier tunes.

avex do not promote Tackey & Tsubasa and let alone V6 as active as they should , seeing that both acts's material are released though them

well at least I can take it to heart that avex Taiwan do make Taiwan presses of their material , unlike SMAP & TOKIO

anyway , I like BACKBORN as compared to this one that Tsubasa did at MUSIC STATION last year

Tsuyoshi's stuff is either hit or miss. Sometimes I cannot even listen to it. But I think he is one of the few people with real individuality in JE and he is super creative and intelligent. One of my favourite Johnnys for sure.

I don't know if avex is at fault or JE. I mean in the end V6 and T&T are more Johnnys artists than avex artists, right?

I prefer Koichi's solo material a lot more than Tsuyoshi . Tsuyoshi's case , I feel it's not as radio friendly as I hoped for & sometimes man the stuff that Tsuyoshi writes/composes is just X______X for me to handle

but like what you said , there's no doubt Tsuyoshi's a real talented person , be it when comes to his fashion dress sense , the way he designs things & etc

well at the end of the day , V6 and T&T are overall tied in with Johnny's & Associates

it's funny that both bands's sales are not hot to begin with , I don't know why o.o

maybe things will be different if they're under a different record label ?

then again when TOKIO moved to JStorm from Universal 2 years back , it didn't really helped their sales that much either D:

everything boils down to the talent agency in terms of marketing, not the record labels. avex trax only distributes the CDs. for example, ayumi hamasaki & Otsuka Ai are under avex entertainment, while Amuro Namie is under VISION FACTORY. but all the artists release their albums under avex trax.

i think T&T, V6, SMAP, & KANJANI8 are the only JE acts that aren't under a JE record label. J-ONE, J-Storm, & Johnny's Entertainment (the record label) are owned by Johnny's & Associates (JE groups talent agency). but record label doesn't matter though, J&A controls everything else.

but anyway, BACKBORN is pretty good, imho. and Tsubasa's looking hot again. however, i really thought Tackey's last 3 singles were realllly good (his best solo-wise; i never really liked his solos on T&T releases) and i while i like BACKBORN, it's not his best solo song.

Takuya Kimura in a new drama? Storyline sounds too good to be true. Romance, wow, it's been a long time since we had that kind of passionate story. Definitely looking forward to it.
