Mmmmh do you remember....Mirrorcle world (even if it's a single) was announced on March 3rd for a release on April 8th. Maybe it will be the same here. I think this new album will be released on April 7th.

I think there's no much activity because it's weekend... and nobody is expecting them to announce it on weekends... moreover... yes... We have a new feeling XDD a calm one... this is good, cause we wouldn't be able to survive lol and I'm sure we will be pumped again with the next announcement/ayu message/anything XD

The absolute latest she can release it and still have the album before the tour would be 3/31 or 3/24. It's seeming like it's getting waaaaaay too close for comfort now, but perhaps this will be a first in Ayu history? An announcement of an album 3 weeks before release?

(Going against AKB48 would be asking to be stuck in the #2 spot, but she's already lost the #1 with GUILTY so maybe they just don't care anymore? Nah. Doubt it.)

AKB48 is not a menace for Ayu I think.

It's a best album with all of the hits that they've sold in their recent boom. It will sell.

I would to say, They have sold over 300 000 copies of their latest single, but we do not know how they can defend themselves for the album.
View Jhonny's! The groups sell many singles but not a lot of albums.
April 7 is a plausible date, 3 days before the tour, sales can increase through the weekend performances.
Finally it's just my view but provide output in 23 days or 30 days is a bit short for me!

Yeah TVXQ's BEST SELECTION 2010 broke a record for... something I can't remember LOL but the first week's sale was 413k... that's impressive comparing to falling album/best sales nowadays.

Though it's right that AKB48's best would probably have like maybe a high first-day sale and then drop drastically over the week, it still depends if avex wants Ayu to "keep falling". IMHO, when GUILTY lost the #1 weekly spot to Kuribohkubo (omg how do you spell this) I think avex was really quite shocked.

I don't think things have reached such a stage where avex wouldn't care; it's obviously not as important or as prestigious as before, but no record company would want their top artiste to be on a falling trend...

yeah.. maybe the #1 doens't matter to keep the record (though there's still the #1 every year since the first album) but still it's important for an artist to have #1... If sales drop and she can't have #1... I do think that GUILTY having #2 (even if it had #1 in reallity) affected her somehow... idk...

I was talking about the release date with my friend earlier and we had said that Ayu probably isn't disclosing the release date because it would just get pushed back. So for me, it's better this way so I wouldn't get disappointed if the date gets pushed back XD
As for the #1 discussion, I think that the #1 spot is important to Ayu, as it would be for anyone, but I don't think that GUILTY's #2 spot affected her hugely. It probably just gave her the motivation to make even better albums in the future. I look at it as a learning experience

However, their second week is to be a measly 40-50k... a pretty sad second week for a best album that had such a stellar first day debut.

I do hope that the album at least comes out within the next month before April, but... we'll see. We haven't even heard from Ayu since her canvas diary entry... just what could she be planning? Oh, I wish to have a telepathic connection with Ayu even if just for a day, haha.

Um it's not like I'm trying to be pro-TVXQ or anything here... I'm just making a point that AKB 48's best could be similar to TVXQ's best - good first day sales and a steady drop after that, which might not be much of a threat for Ayu if she releases her album on April 7th?
