People need to stop dissing GaGa's creativity.

Making a collage of other people's ideas is not what I think of as creativity.

Lol, well GaGa = David Bowie? I'm just sick of everyone being frightened to death by GaGa comparisons. Any non-Ayu fan would totally see the PV and say "oh is this GaGa's new work?"

Even the lightning painted on Gaga's face is a carbon-copy of Bowie.
And I wouldn't say "frightened" more than "annoyed" and "fed up".

And like I said before, people that look at this and think about no-one besides Gaga probably are too young to understand who really is a standard for pop culture and originality. That's my point, period.

Still, no offense to anyone, but I've seen plenty of artists over the years that only last so long. I think Gaga's a phase more than anything.

Ok well I highly doubt that it's coincidence that GaGa is inspired by Bowie and that period and then all of a sudden Ayu is inspired by that same period. This is a pointless argument because it seems people here on AHS would deny that this PV was inspired by GaGa even if Ayu herself said "YEAH I LOVE GAGA. SHE INSPIRES ME."

Besides, she didn't direct the PV. Maybe the director thought this would be a good thing for Ayu to try.

Being "creatively inspired" by and "copying" are two totally different things! Saying this looks GaGa is not bad-mouthing Ayu. So no need for everyone to get defensive. Lol. I must say when other comparisons to GaGa have come up, I too brushed them off. But this time it's literally right there.

Give me a break. She is creative. She may not be some ground-breaking, revolutionary muse, but even the things that have "been done before", she pulls off in her own way.
