Why do you listen to Ayu?
Is it her voice, the lyrics, the music, tune...etc, or does it just depend? I personally don't speak Japanese and don't memorize translations so I really just like the overall feel of the song, so I guess I'd say music and a little bit vocals...especially Forgiveness for music

I just like the music itself, and she has great voice. Nothing special about it, I'm kind of on your side

I have listened to many different Jpop, Ayu is the only one I like the most, most of other Japanese singers are OK to me.

because the first songs i heard were old, and good, and a picture i saw was from s song for xx.

i am glad i heard that first. if my first song was forvigness of greatdul days... damn... betcha i woujldn't like ayu.

it's too complex to write down why i like ayumi here, thus i won't. just accept the fact that i like (some of) it

Definitely the music, since I don't know Japanese (I read the translations of lyrics but I don't memorize them x.x)

If Ayu's music turned really bad, I wouldn't listen to her new material

Special something... I'll give a full explanation of that special something later today maybe... if I have time at college. But for now, I don't listen to her fully becuase of what the song means or even how it sounds. For example, Greatful Days. Not a ver popular pick from the popularity spot but there is a reason why it catches my ear so well. So I'll just explain it all on LX Ayu

I dunno. Once I started listening to Ayu, I couldn't stop. I loved her voice (unlike some people who think she can't sing and has a nasaly voice..).. and I still do. Her earlier stuff (i.e., A Song For XX) wasn't my favorite stuff.. but I like almost everything else she's done. She also has great style and she writes awesome lyrics.. ^^

Plus, on a bad day, I can listen to Ayu and feel happier in no time.

Haha....my older brother always makes fun of me and blabbers about how I don't understadn Japanese and listen to Ayu's songs, or as he calls it..."girl music".

I listen to Ayu because she has a great voice and her lyrics are just mind-blowing. She's got this special something in her songs that I just can't get out of. Her music is just great and I love her.

the music is great...ayumi-chan has a grrrrreat voice. the lyrics..wow...absolutely awesome. since i am Japanese and can understand, it's just a great experience to just sit there to listen and try to assimilate the lyrics. at times, when i need to escape, break away from societal pressures and whatnot...i just put on any ayumi song...and i am entranced within a world where only ayumi-chan's music exists.

I listen to Ayumi because I just love her voice and her songs. The lyrics are very touching too. I also listen many other j-pop bands, but Ayumi's always the best.

The music also. I don't understand Japanease either, so I read the translations, but I only remember parts of the songs..
And there's something about her too, I don't know what's it XD
