Do you prefer a remix over an original mix?

Sometimes remixes are like a 'better remake' of the original, imo.

Heartplace "Lab-4 remix" is far more superior to the original IMO
still alone "Warp Brothers Single Mix" sounds better

Same here. I never really saw it as a bad thing.. I'm kinda surprised that a lot prefer the original mix (not a bad thing though, everyone has their tastes). It's not that I don't enjoy the original mixes, but sometimes the remix arrangements work better with certain songs.

Oh yeah! I forgot to mention this one (and again I love the original as well) !

Another a couple remixes I forgot to mention (you guys are gonna jump all over on me for this lol) is Endless sorrow ~gone with the wind ver.~ and Love ~refrain~. I prefer those versions 10x over the original lol....although I'm not sure if Love really does have an original mix ....let's just say it's my favorite version lol.

I think it would be boring to hate all remixes. So instead of enjoying all these different songs an artist releases, all the remix haters have to look forward to is the original mix songs which severely narrows down (especially ayu's) discography.

I think I prefer STEP you remix from fairyland single a bit than original. MY STORY Classical had tracks which were better or more interesting than original songs.
And Rule (80kidz's ''No More Rule'' mix) blew me away in the same way as Rule. Probably her best remix to date.

I like her orchestra and acoustic mixes. Not always more than the original. I like You Were.... Music Box Mix more than the original and I also kind of prefer HEAVEN x DAISHI DANCE over the original...but not by much.

I hate the song alterna but I can at least stand to listen to the mix from ayu-mi-x 6. (can't remember the name of it) And sometimes I listen to the orchestra mix.

kind of random but i feel like saying it. I personally don't believe someone can hate every remix ever. I believe there is at least one remix or "alternate version" other from the original studio version that people will like. I just don't believe someone when they claim they hate every remix they've ever heard in their entire life. I believe there is at least one remix for everyone. and i don't care what people say. orchestra versions are remixes. Anything that is something other than the original studio song is considered a remix/mix. just because it doesn't go "unce unce unce unce unce" doesn't mean it isn't a remix.

Totally agree with you. Everyone has their tastes in music choices (and also their opinion). And it's not a bad thing to like a remix more.. jeez, it's not a crime.

technically, the version of A Song for XX on the A BALLADS album is not a remix, but a rearrangement...

@pica: do you know if that ourselves remix is available for download anywhere? I like it and want a HQ version.

I listen to the remix version a lot more often then the original version. So when I listen to the original version, it ended up sounding weird to me.
