The song definitely sound better than Atashi. I can't finish listening to the song Atashi. I immediately turn it off at the first 1 minute, while Shout in the Rain, I manage to listen to the first 2~3 minutes and I have to turn it off too. I'm not sure what Anna is doing lately, it just doesnt fit me well. I sense the songs are turning into pure rock stuff, even rocker than her first album's stuff. But I like her image in the PV, every second can be captured as a fashion magazine shoot D:

I honestly wonder will things be different if she didn't get married for the 2nd time & have a 2nd son ?

Because before this , her material has been generally good & something definitely must have happened after she came back

Maybe the composer or the arranger is different now? hitomi has this new arranger for her new album and the music sounds different.

xD well Shout in the rain is nice to me on 1st listen but yeah both Atashi & Shout in the rain did not have that catchy oomph feeling/factor unlike her other singles

but it's a grower

Well, we might not like the music as much but I wouldn't say it's not as good. It's a different style. Still good music. I prefer her older styles, but I'm curious what the album might bring.

I'm not really feeling this whole new anna vibe.... I liked it more when she was "poprock." I havent liked any of her songs so far. :/

The more I listen to her latest singles, the more I love them. At first I wasn't crazy about them but they are certainly growing on me. I may be in the minority but I'm liking the direction her music is going in. But that may be because I'm more of a J-Rock fan than J-Pop so I guess it all comes down to personal preference. Based on what we've heard, I never thought her album would go in this direction, especially considering that her first single off of this album is Brave Vibration. which sounds completely different than any of these recent singles. But at the same time, UHA-UHA / 暴食系男子!! sounds really different too from all of her current singles so maybe we'll get a good mix of different musical genres and styles on this album. I'm so excited for this upcoming album, I can hardly wait!

I agree with you. Anna's my favorite artist so I may be a little biased at times when it comes to her music, lol. But her current music is more my style so I'm definetely loving it. BTW, Imitation Night is one of my favorites songs too.

I keep telling myself that all of the songs on the singles will be on the album to stop myself from buying them. But I'm honestly tempted to buy them sometime in the future if I find it cheap because it's bothering me so bad that I won't have the CD+DVD version of Atashi, Shout in the Rain, and UHA-UHA / 暴食系男子!! . I've been so anal about having all of her singles that it's hard for me not to buy them. BTW, I see UHA-UHA / 暴食系男子!! is available for preorder on Amazon Japan. Does anyone know where else they are selling it online?
