Based on the latest figures on singles/album sales in Japan, Ayu has sold 49.01m vs Hikki's 35.72m. And this doesn't even include DVD sales etc.

There are yearly reports on the tax returns of celebrities in Japan. Unless someone makes a compilation of those lists, it's hard to know how much wealth Ayu, Hikki or any other singer has amassed over the years.

Ayu also tours regularly every year but Utada doesn't. No doubt playstation/Kingdom Hearts is a big source of income for Utada but Ayu also has her investments in Liz Lisa etc, aside from what she makes as an artist.
