nope, i haven't heard a lot of that...

i think i have everything before 2010, but all i have from 2010 is the diamond/over the clouds single. my favorite alan song is Ashita e no Sanka. its beautiful. what i love most though from alan is when she goes super high pitched like she does in that song, almost like she's a long song singer.

This is kinda random, but I've been reading some stuff about J-pop for college and some researchers seem to agree that because of the popularity of karaoke, songs that are easy to sing along to are more likely to become a hit. Considering alan's songs are quite (or extremely XD) difficult to sing, do you think that might also be affecting her sales?

Being a karaoke hit doesn't always mean the song is a hit, though, is something I've recently noticed.

Take the anime opening "Zankoku na Tenshi no Thesis". The song was released in 1995. To this day, it has never left the top 10 of most popular karaoke songs. Yet the song only sold 156k copies. In 1995, that was probably equal to selling 15k these days : /
