i agree with that, I don't really care how many albums does she sells, I still think Ayu's songs are wayy better than utada''s, boa's, and dai's songs...

mmmm.....Hikki does sell more than Ayu. But Ayu releases much much more, and does a lot more promotion. But though Hikki doesn't do much of that, Ayu still seems to just barely make more than her.

Who cares even if Ayu loses to Hikki in sales...Ayu still outsells most artists by heaps.

EDIT: This article's full of errors: it said that A Best and Distance only sold 3 million and then went on to say that Single Collection sold 2.6 million on its first day...-_-''

that what i thought as well, maybe ayu release will sell better if she didn't release single within 3 month from the last. I like Ayu a lot more than hikki since ayu song has a strong rock/metal influence in it

uck..I think the whole Ayu vs. Hikki thing should be put to rest! They're both very talented BUT very different singers and I think it's ridiculous because in every jpop/music forum you'll always find an annoying Hikki vs. Ayu thread.

Personally, I'm not a very big Utada fan (I simply cannot call her "Hikki" for some reason). However, I respect her as an artist, and wish people would stop comparing the two of them, as they both deserve better than that.
