Technique, controlled vibrato...
What I really like in a singer is when they like to be unique and go a bit crazy. Like Björk occasionally does.

diction, good intonation, technique, timbre and emotion...
also, i really like it when a singer can make sound of word and meaning coincide. + i have a very strange thing about breathing too, i'm always listening to singers when they take their breath in between lines. that's why i like Mika Nakashima and Gaga so much, their breathing rythm is music too.

Many different things. I am not completely picky, but usually something fun, and easy to pick up the words to is something I generally like. Also a fun beat. If they have a cool or unique style that helps too. personality is important
