Good to hear she will have at least recieved it and read the card. Hopefully we put Australia on the map for her!

Bit off topic.. any aussies planning to attend any Arena Tour shows next year? I'm hoping we get a Tokyo show in July, which is when I will be able to go. Started saving for it now...

I am looking forward to that! This was a succes! Thanks to you all, Aussies. And bravo for Earth_Maiden and SURREAL_RAINBOW!
And I also hope Ayu would record or shoot a PV here downunder.
That would be awesome! For her career (hopefully) and for aussie and kiwi fans as well!

S_R and I are planning to go in 2012, hopefully in April or May, or failing that, we'll go in December. But getting tickets for a CDL seem much more complicated that getting tickets for an Arena Tour...

I will try and take a koala or kangaroo plush along so I can give it to Ayu or one of her staff members, maybe... would that be possible? Somehow I doubt it... AYU HURRY UP AND COME TO AUSTRALIA!!! T_T

Yeah, CDL is too hard to get tickets, and a lot more expensive. Arena Tour is a much safer bet to get a decent ticket. Don't want to travel all the way there and end up with a crappy ticket.

Her album is coming out earlier than usual.. so I'm not sure her Arena Tour will have dates later into the year this time around. =/ Hoping she takes her time and puts the dates between April - July like usual!!

I'm going to Japan on the 17th of December and was thinking of going to CDL but I'm sure the tickets would be gone by now, so that's too bad...

How much are you estimating it will cost to go to Japan?

My finacee and I also want to go, probably for our honeymoon, but just a holiday there (where I can see Ayu lol) would be awesome xD

If I was going with fellow Ayu fanatics that would be awesome xD Even if we just met up for a day or two during our trips - Aussie's invade Japan lol

It depends. For a honeymoon, you'll want to stay in some good accomodation, so you'll need more! You won't want to stay in scummy places. For a decent hotel, you'll need at least $1000-1500 for a week stay in Tokyo.

I'm planning to go for about 3 weeks and stay in hostels, so I'm thinking $5000 will cover it. I was in Europe for 3 months this year and spent about $4000 a month there (including food, hotels and hostels, admission prices etc.), so for 3 weeks in Japan it should be more than enough.

I'm most likely going by myself too... my friend who likes ayumi probably won't be able to afford it, so it'd be cool to meet some ayu fans who are going as well.

COME IN 2012 WITH US!!!!

When I went to Japan in 2008, we stayed in hostels and it was really, really cheap. In Kyoto there were 4 of us and we had our own room, bathroom, kitchenette and TV, and it cost about $30 - $35 a night each. Plus we were 5 mins walk from Kyoto Station and all the buses. Its one of the main reasons I adore Kyoto, and when we go in 2012 I want to stay in the same place for a few days, re-visit Gion and Kiyomizu and some of the nicer temples in the area. Kyoto definitely isn't for anyone who likes modern day Japan, its very chilled and calm. Going from Kyoto to Tokyo gave me massive culture shock. XD

I got your payment today, thanks Tony!! ^_^

ooh I'm interested in this secret man Please tell me more

And as for me I'm spending approximately $2000 during the month I'll be staying. I'll be staying at my friends' houses so thankfully I wouldn't need to spend any money on accommodation I mean I'll be a tourist obviously, but I'm planning to go there on a more intimate trip to see Japan from a more local perspective (like going with my friends to hang out and stuff) and hopefully that'd be fun too

I think I took $2000 to pay for accommodation, food, tickets (Disneyland, DisneySea, Japan Rail Pass, etc), plus I spent $1100 on my credit card, so going with around $3000, plus $1500 for return plane tickets. So I want to save $5000 to take with me.

If anyone wants to come with us (and you're not rude and mean like some of the other AHSers that have been met in real life ), feel free. XD

Keep your eye out for Jetstar sales, I've seen return tickets from Melbourne to Tokyo for as little as $500!

Disneyland is a must, haha.

Chiban that sounds really cool and im very jealous, seeing a country through the locals is always the best way. Its something money can't buy.

going with aussie ayu fans would be awesome though, seeing ayu live wont be the same unless ive got people to enjoy it with! There's also a couple of other bands I want to see, if they lined up all in a 2-3 week period that would be awesome! But first priority is definitely Ayu.

I definitely want to see Kuu, BoA, Namie and possibly Gackt, though I think I might get trampled if I went to a Gackt show... if they're on in the same month it would be so cool to go see one or two other artists as well as Ayu. Though I say that now, I might want to go see Ayu 3 or 4 times if I can...

man I'd love to see all my favourite artists in concert in Japan. like Crystal Kay and m-flo... or even Shinichi Osawa when he's doing a gig at one of the clubs. Absolutely love that guy.

Anyone care to tell me who this secret guy outside Yoyogi is?

I'd love to go to CDL but I tihnk I might be going with my friend to her hometown in the countryside in Fukui... she's taking me to stay with her family and stuff and it might be a great experience for me. But not sure what to do since I wanna go to CDL too lol.

What do you guys think?

There would have to be some tickets at the reseller shops, only that a) they won't be cheap and b) might only be crappy seats.

I really want to see Dir en Grey as well (have been a fan of them for as long as I've been a fan of ayumi), maybe girugamesh, and OLIVIA.
