ayu's "impossible" finger position (Peace & Love)

well i want to copy ayu's peace and love sign for wheever a picture is taken of me!... hehee i think is cool.. and sooooo japanese.... (amercian too but i want to think of it as japanese hehehe)

but.. i have a few questions first... the sign ayu makes does i stands for P & L??? or what else??

and do you have pics... to compare ayu's real position of her fingers so we can copy exactly the way she does it! (feaky right?? hehehe) I only have one to compare....

anyway the thing is.. that the pic below is impossible to make ayu's hand position, i think... take a look at her pinky finger? (what;s the word?) well anyway the small one.. i think that cannot be done!

i try to do it myself but my finger follow the one next to it.. it didn;t go to the other side... (second PIC)

so the only way i could think of was cutting and pasting my own finger... hehehe.. so that's what i did.. and take a look at (third pic) is more like ayu's hand position....

waht do you think???

can you make ayu;s sign... without cutting a pasting!! hehehe!

take Care!

Sometimes, Japanese people do the "V" sign for "Victory", so I'm guessing that Ayu does that either to be cute, to say she won something, or just because she likes doing that

the "V" also stands for "peace"...

Her hand on the pic's at an angle.. so her pinky looks that way...

Perhaps, but I guess watching numerous anime shows of characters doing the "V" sign after defeating enemies makes me think that it's more common ^^'

I wouldn't quite call that impossible though she does stretch her fingers out a bit far!
Yup, that's the V sign!

ohh i see! even cooler... yes.. like the video games... like street fighter hehe chun-lin makes another V sign!??? anyone knows what that means????

-but take a look at her small finger... it bends to the other side.. it should follow the finger next to it.... i can't bend it the other way??? it's not natural beacuase of the bones structures.. i guess... look carefully....

it could possibly be the way the pic is taken... but i think is not.

I think it's the angle the picture was taken at. In reality I'm pretty sure her pinky is extended outward, almost completely straight...just a little bend. And that's why it looks like that.

It stands for peace. Sometimes, it does stand for victory. This is a really old sign that was used in the 50s to mean victory and in the 60s, was seen to look a lot like part of the peace sign. So, it was used that way, too.

I think it's always popular to do this sign in pictures and things. I always use this sign or the #1 sign. ^^

Ayu could do it, I could do it also

Ayu has an unusally short pinky finger (its lower that your ring finger's first line beginning from the tip to the palm), so that is why she can do it. Plus, its all a matter of camera position also...

[edit] Many Japanese and asians alike do that Peace Sign also. Its like a trademark of who they are and such. Well, thats what a friend told me, I don't really know, haha [/edit]

Gosh, that is pretty freakin' hard to do.

I think I heard or read somewhere that the "V sign" started during WWII, meaning the aforementioned, peace or victory. It sort of caught on, which is why you still see it today.

I can do it. but i have fat, thick fingers. and they dont spread out as freaking far as ayu's finger's do. Feels like they could rip. o_o;!!!

Haha maybe ayu has her little peoples go in with photoshop and tweak her fingers around.
