Your biggest Ayu disappointments - Page 2

For me, it's the Guilty album. After secret, I didn't expect it to be a colossal failure. It started well with Glitter/Fated. Then well, talkin' 2 myself single took probably the longest to resonate in heart and I tend to eat up all her singles. But, Together When... was so good and I thought there would be more of that on the album! And if you listened to Guilty with the awesome intro such as Mirror, you thought it would be a kick ass album... somehow it doesn't work that way.

Favorite Tracks from Guilty- Mirror, Fated, Glitter, Judgement Day, & Together When...
(2 A singles, 1 digital single track, 1 intro and one interlude... lol that's kinda sad)

FIVE is probably the most disappointing thing ever for me, lol. Especially ANother song. Mirrorcle World's PV was incredibly disappointing, but I'd rather watch that than anything on FIVE.

Naked Talk was also really disappointing.

GUILTY, NEXT LEVEL, and Rock'n'Roll Circus were also disappointing. It's not that I don't like the songs on them, but GUILTY was the first album where, after the first listen, I just didn't really feel like listening to any of the songs again. NEXT LEVEL really bores me as an album and Rock'n'Roll Circus was the first time in a REALLY long time that the production on her songs just started sounding really crappy (count down, Last Links, Sunrise ~LOVE is ALL~). Those three albums are still all near the bottom of my list, though I'd actually probably listen to them before Duty or I am... since I've heard those albums 5 million times.

I thought LOVE 'n' HATE was gonna be an AWESOME song but the full thing is so boring. It's probably my least listened to Ayu song overall. >_< (That's good though, because now I can spam it when I want something new from Ayu.

Ayu never disappoints me.
the only thing that i i don't "LOOOOVE" was ANother song,but after know the meaning that have for Ayu,i like it.

RnRC is still a crappy album for me
FIVE has amazing covers, promo, but only 1 good song, and worse PVs than Love songs
her works with Kazyoushi Shimomoura, photosets & PVs
Mirrorcle World, because I can't stand her bad vocal there and awful arrangement and the PV
no more good summer singles
lack of powerful ballads recently, they are mostly repetitive & boring
some of her lyrics
her marriage. sorry fans.

but she will always be an inspiration

I love her no matter what

to be fair, wonderland's visa policy is notoriously difficult.

For me, the biggest disappointment was probably the "my name's WOMEN" PV. I was really into the song when MY STORY first came out; I was really excited to hear it was getting a PV. The final product was just... really bizarre in a way that went against the message of the song. It was the kind of fake ~grrl power~ crap I expect from Koda Kumi, not Ayu.

- NEXT LEVEL, I still like it more than MY STORY and FIVE but I remember hearing reports that she was going back to her old LOVEppears sound but that wasn't the case.

Wow... some people really disappointed of lot things.
To talk about "Don't look back"... I totaly love that song and also that PV. But seems, it is not really popular for a lot of you.

So.. what dissapointed me?`Not really much. Sure.. there are some songs, I really don't like.. for example Love'n'Hate. But ok... every artist has song, I don't like.
So... she relly disapointed me, with her ugly Hairstyle, she have since Life-Performance.
Ok. it is growing again.. and looks better now. But.. in the beginning.. I was really horrable.

Days - my biggest disappointment in ayu. it's just an awful song. please don't try to convince me otherwise, thx.

The (miss)understood covers
Her performance of NEXT LEVEL @ AT09

Her voice in general in 2008
Her magazine promotions during the S/S period where she looked really spaced out.
When she started to overact in her ballad performances and have the same formula for most of them with her reaching for Shuya or just reaching for nothing.

Oh yes... I forget the Lipsincing in a concert.. like CDL with Angel Song.
That really was dissapointed.
But well.. I think, a lot of singers to it. So.. if this are only a few song.. it is ok.

Threads getting more negative here.

I don't like Moon/blossom single and that Ayu wasn't even in the PV for blossom and used such a clichéd storyline probably makes this release the biggest disappointment to me.

Not about to bash, but if promoting Love Songs by marrying Mannie really was Ayu's masterplan she failed miserably - so I don't think that was the reason she did it. After all she didn't get divorced and then engaged to JUNO or Nao for promoting FIVE.

I've never heard of that before. But now that I think about it, it was very timely for her to get married right after Love songs.

Not saying that's why she got married (I'm still inclined to believe it was for "love"), but that's an interesting theory.

I'm always being disappointed about her magazine and album covers.
When people say that a particular looks amazing and I always wonder if we seeing the same ones.

First of all - lol.

Second of all, she got married because she fell in love. I'm sure some people who dislike Mannie would like to think she didn't really fall in love with him and it was all for promotion, but that's not reality.
