The translations seemed to have become a complete mess during the event. At one point, you saw Timmy translating for Ayu and then the other woman who's the Chinese-to-English translator or whatever leaning in to help but then Ayu swiped her arm at her to tell her it's okay. It seemed rather rude to me and I'd rather they just had one translator do the job.
At another point another guy leaned in to translate to Timmy and then Timmy told Ayu what the MC was saying. The MC also tried to communicate directly to Ayu in English but she needed a slower enunciation to understand.
... i.e. it was a total mess and that's why it took Ayu so long to answer the simple question about how she felt about the whole 3D thing... her answer ended up being really short as well.
In the end when she stood in front of the fans, she apologized for the communication problems but nobody took it to heart, which is good. Still though, I felt kind of sorry for the translators there. :S It wasn't their fault. And when Ayu starting cutting in when Shuya's translator was speaking, I thought that was rude as well...
Overall a complete mess in terms of communication!
Still, Ayu looked great.
