in that case she should just sing the chorus of every song once and just stand there waving her arms for every subsequence chorus?

Ugh Ayu... please stop singing Last Angel! It's one of my favorites but she's ruining it for me. Dream ON needs to stop, too.

Choruses, when repeated right after each other, usually don't have the same lyrics. But in Last Angel every verse is repeated DIRECTLY after it is first sang with the only difference being pitch and vocal effect but the lyrics staying the same.

She...doesn't do it? The verse is there twice in a row because it's a call-resonse thing but she only sings one of them. That is live, as the song is no collab it's obviously her voice for both.

EDIT: Sorry, didn't realize I was doubleposting.

Aren't you a bright one

No need to take what I said literally and apply it to ever song out there.

I liked this year's a-nation lmao. I don't get where all the criticism is coming from

Her vocals have definitely improved. Even if she didn't sing half of Last angel (and that's not a problem for me), she was definitely not straining herself and had control over her voice. I liked how everyone cheered when she took off her sunglasses lmaaao. She needs less dancers for this song though...the stage looked crowded cause they all bunched in the middle. It's not so bad in the other songs, since they were spread out.

She looks reaaaaaaalllly fit. Like wowow 30 years old and so fit :O

Dream on and ANother song were solid performances. Greatful days was okay. Not much to say about these songs.

I like WOW WAR TONIGHT though It seemed like a very energetic song and really fits a-nation. The audience seemed to love it too. I get the feeling this is a TK song haha...

July 1st was same as always...and its a summer song so I guess it's a good end.

Overall, it wasn't as bad as what everyone's making it out to seem. It's just very different from past a-nations. I guess not everyone likes that about it haha..

It's nice to see how much fun Ayu had even with all that drama. I don't really like how Tohoshinki closed a-nation...but it was already weird how they went after TRF TRF closed a-nation when Ayu wasn't there in the past and it made sense cause of their seniority... Avex sure is making some interesting decisions.

You are right, lol. WOW WAR WOW WAR TONIGHT WOW WAR FOREVER~

And it was Ayu's decision to go second-to-last. I love how her performance felt like she was last anyway, DOHOHOHOHO. Is she the only artist who does the band/dancer introductions and "VOCAL: AYU, DESHITA!" at the end of her a-nation set?

tbh, there is a mental list I have of Ayu songs that are better off not performed live due to execution issues/not translating well to the stage, lol. Last angel is one of them. Another is Ladies Night.

You're right, it's just one of those songs where she just doesn't sound that great live. She seems to love to sing it though. And I do love to hear it... on my MP3 player lol.

As far as this a-nation goes... meh, I think I'm just bias because nothing will top 2008-2009 a-nations for me.

A Song for xx on a-nation 2008 will never be topped again. For me it's the best performance on a-nation. The rain, the emotion, the singing - everything was perfect....

This a-nation wasn't as bad as people were saying. And Nao wasn't as pushed as I thought he would be considering the complaints. By the way, AAA covered WOW WAR TONIGHT before.

Last angel is nowhere near to the way she butchered Ladies night the last time; is this LOVE? is also one of the songs she should never perform live. Imo Last angel's just fine live ^^

^ i second the "is this LOVE?" thing. She has never provided a good performance of the song, not even on 2006. Maybe because the studio vocals were so perfect and epic. She sounds strong but calm, but when she sings it live she just screams and screams

IMO it was a little boring, the audience lacked the usual energy they have on a-nation... But maybe i just feel like that cuz we couldn't really watch her performing her hits...

Maybe they will broadcast the rest of summer medley and sunrise at the 3.5 hours special, or will have it on DVD...

I thought a-nation's is this Love? was one of Ayumi's strongest performances ever and loved the version at CDL1011. And I don't really like her studio vocals on it. Not powerful enough.

I think Last angel was not bad at all, and same goes for Dream ON, it made me like the song a lot more xD

First 2 songs were good, then Another song was a bit eeeek, but URATA's vocals were good all the way through lol

I loved Ladies Night at AT06 and also at the CDL coupled with STEP you! It was perfect!

Seriously that performance was awful, especially the chorus.

I love is this LOVE? at AT06 and hate ASFXX at a-nation 08. lol

But yeah, I think Ayu should stop doing Last angel live. It just doesn't sound that great live and it's a boring song to watch her perform, as much as I love the song.
