Kanjani8′s first 5 Dome tour

Johnny’s group Kanjani8 will embark on their first five-dome venue tour at the end of the year, it was revealed on September 6, reports Chunichi Sports and TV Asahi.

The group had already been set to perform at four dome stadium venues, but yesterday it was announced they would also perform at Nagoya Dome on Christmas Eve.

“Thankfully, now we can see our fans in Nagoya!” Shingo Murakami said.

It has been reported only three other Johnny’s groups have toured around all five dome stadiums: SMAP, KinKi Kids, and Arashi. For the Kanjani8, it will also be their first time performing at Sapporo, Fukuoka, and Nagoya Dome.

“I can’t believe it, I’m so happy we’re going on a 5 dome stadium tour. I hope I can show our fans how much I appreciate this, and make them happy by watching the concert,” Subaru Shibutani said.

A new album is also in talks of being released around November, which will include all of the group’s recent chart-topping hit singles like “T.W.L” and “My Home”.

Tadayoshi Okura said the tour comes at a good time following the group’s busy schedule this year with four single releases, becoming the main personality for 2011′s 24Hr TV, and getting their late night show re-scheduled for prime time television.

“We’ve had a lot of good news so finishing it with a 5 dome tour is perfect. I’ll do my best to make sure the energy doesn’t drop as we go into our eighth year,” he said.

Kanjani8′s tour will begin on November 23 in Sapporo, before moving onto Fukuoka, Tokyo, and Nagoya, before finishing up in Osaka on New Year’s Eve.

& cannot wait for the album (yay! Sukima Switch!). i've been playing "Tsubasa ni Koi" for a while since it's used in "Zenkai Girl".

Kanjani8 to release new album in November

Kanjani8 announced that they will release their new album (currently untitled) in November.

It has been about 1 year since the release of their last album “8UPPERS” and for their upcoming album, Kanjani8 has recruited some talent in the production of the album. The recorded songs for the upcoming album were composed and written by Yuzu’s Kitagawa Yujin including “T.W.L.,” “Ieropanji Street,” “My Home,” “365 Hi Kazoku,” “Tsupusanikoi.” Moreover, the album will include songs by artists including Ketsume, Sukima Switch, Dohatsuten.

Details about the release date, title, tracks, and other information will be announced at a later date.

What sort of content will be in the album? Just look forward to forthcoming reports!

On Yamashita Tomohisa and Nishikido Ryo’s withdrawal from NEWS, Uchi Hiroki says “no comment”

On October 8th, Uchi Hiroki (25), Kis-My-Ft2’s Kitayama Hiromitsu (26) and Miyata Toshiya (23), and actress Takahata Mitsuki (19) held a press conference and public rehearsal on the opening day of their stage play ‘Ikemen Desu ne‘ at Akasaka ACT Theater.

Uchi, who is a former member of Johnny’s Entertainment group NEWS, was asked his opinion regarding the withdrawal of members Yamashita Tomohisa (26) and Nishikido Ryo (26). However, feeling uncomfortable with this inquiry, he answered with “I will leave it at no comment“, brushing away the question in its entirety.

Despite the brief moment of awkwardness, the event ended successfully.

Nishikido Ryo comments about his withdrawal from NEWS on Music Station

On October 14th, Kanjani8 appeared on the 3-hour “Music Station” special, where member Nishikido Ryo commented on his withdrawal from NEWS.

Although he commented when the withdrawal was first announced, he also stated, “From now on, I want to do my best as Kanjani8’s Nishikido Ryo. Also, everyone, please support the new NEWS, and Yamapi [Yamashita Tomohisa].”

When his withdrawal was introduced once again by announcer Takeuchi Yoshie, he explained, “I’m sure I surprised many people, but there were circumstances with my schedule, and problems because I was in two groups. Also, I was always troubled that I may be causing trouble to both groups.” After his comment, the members of Kanjani8 bowed, and promised to continue their activities.
