I saw this in the Chinese News this morning.

Taiwanese pop star Selina Jen sustained severe burns when an explosion scene went awry on the set of a TV series being shot in China, her father said.


The 28-year-old actress was flown back to Taiwan late yesterday for medical treatment for burns to her hips and thighs following the accident on the set of the drama "I Have a Date with Spring" during filming in Shanghai, father Jen Ming-ting told reporters.


She was in stable condition but will have skin graft surgery at Taipei's Chang Gung Memorial Hospital, he said.


Selina Jen is a member of Taiwan's popular pop singing group S.H.E and has also appeared in a number of TV drama series.


Taiwanese media said Jen suffered third-degree burns on up to 40 percent of her body, while her Chinese co-star Haoming Yu was also seriously burned.


During Friday's shooting session, a series of five explosions were supposed to be set off one after another to allow Jen and Yu enough time to escape from a burning house, but the explosions took place together, the Taiwanese reports said.

Yeah, I heard that the directors had complete control over the timing of the explosion... and this accident still happened, ugh. Hope she can recover from this! It must be so painful for Selina.

Some followup articles mentioned that her hair has been shaved off and she has to wear special clothing while recovering. I think it's pretty insane how there were no paramedics on the scene just in case. (but they did film in China so... eh...)

I’ll share about my 1st love in hukou high school.
It happened during the 2nd half of my 1st year in high school, or is it the 2nd year? I kind of forgot about it.
When I first entered the school, the seniors would go to the junior classes to see which juniors are suitable for wooing,
then I’m one of those who will attract more of their attention.
Oh my god, I feel so shy saying this. Then there’s a senior, he’s very tall, about 183cm. he’s quite handsome.
But I have no idea why I didn’t really like him in the beginning.
He came to my class to look for me almost every day after school and bought me drinks.
Then he pursued me for half a semester, when I finally agreed to be with him.

After we were together, he treated me very well. But I don’t know how to treasure him.
I was very fierce to him; I’m something like a “sassy girlfriend”. Every day after school we walked to the bus stop together.
When it was raining and there were puddles of water on the ground, he would piggyback me and cross over the puddles.
He also made an airplane model and put it into a shoebox.
He sprayed paint on the shoebox to make it look like a sky and put the plane into the shoe, signifying that he’ll take me around the world.
Then during a summer vacation I went to America for exchange, he wrote me a month worth of love letters to read every day.
And I was also in the skateboarding club in high school. During those times, the skateboarding shoes were very expensive.
A pair was priced at around NT$2-3000. He bought one that I saw when I was window-shopping with my cousin.
He really doted me a lot and loved me very much.

Maybe it’s human’s bad habit to not treasure the people who treat you really well.
I slowly fall out of love with him. One day he came to my class to find me and I pretended to chat with my friends and not see him.
Then he came into the class and called me out to the corridor. He asked me why I was ignoring him and dropped a tear.
He was so pitiful! I really feel that if I encountered such a guy now, I’ll treasure him. It’s really rare to encounter such a guy.
I wonder if he is still as nice as in the past?

This reminds me of one of my songs. It’s called shadow’s shadow.
When a person treated you really well, you treated him as though he was your shadow and neglected him.
But when your shadow left you, you started to become his shadow.
