Memorial address was a totally different type of mini album though. Memorial address was a complete concept; it had singles leading up to it and was basically a regular album with less songs. FIVE was more like a slightly longer single, since it was only a little over half as long as Memorial address and had no singles.

Actually, it wouldn't really surprise me at all if she put songs from FIVE on the new album, but I would be extremely disappointed. BRILLANTE would be okay, but the other four songs are mixed so poorly it would really bring down the album. That is, if the new songs are actually mixed as well as Love songs and BRILLANTE are.

Easy tiger. No, FIVE is not a single. Noone said that either. But since FIVE didn't have any singles at all before it got released and FIVE didn't really have a tour either (it got smacked in together with PoM), people feel it might happen. The possibility that she might include FIVE is still there.

But yes, everyone hopes that it will not be included at all.

The possibility is almost non-existent and people only thought of it because they think way too much about things...RAINBOW and Memorial Address also had one tour; I am pretty sure she is done with FIVE. As someone said the album had it's own concept and knowing Ayu she won't be mixing cats with dogs

Also I still totally disagree with anyone who says FIVE has a concept. That thing does not have a concept and there is no way you can pull one out of it. It's just a bunch of random stuff thrown together.

All songs in FIVE are connected by the theme of hope. Even the album art and PVs are linked in to the concept of hope, though the messages are all hidden. ayu herself has clarified all that in various mag interviews. So I won't call that "no concept".

If I had to name one ayu album that has absolutely no concept and is really just a mash of songs, m(u) will be my choice. To put it in the bluntest way, that album is literally just a bunch of unlinked singles and another bunch of unlinked songs written by GEO put together. But that doesn't make it any less wonderful; m(u) is one of my fav ayu albums actually.

So yea, it's nice when ayu albums have a concept, but does it really matter if it's "just a bunch of random stuff thrown together"? Does having no concept (or none that we've noticed at any rate) make a lousy ayu album? I don't think so. So, sorry but I have to totally disagree with you on this.

Just because you can't see it, it doesn't mean it's not there. I have nothing against albums without concept, but I still strongly believe she won't put any of the FIVE songs on the new one ^^

Well, Ayu put a concept in it. Then you might not see it but there definitely is a concept.
And yes, it didn't had its own real tour, but how can you make a whole tour from a 5 songs album? Still, she once said that for her FIVE represented the present she was in at the moment and it's also what she was singing about in PoM. ^^ Or at least this is my opinion

(miss)understood songs are about the way japanese girls lived on that era (that is most likely not too far from how they live today). The main aesthetical choice was 70s and 80s images (found on the whole booklet, on the whole visual of the tour and on the promotional stuff) and sounds (found through the album).

And yeap, FIVE is all about hope^^

I didn't say having no concept made it a lousy album, even though I do think it's a lousy album (because of the music). How on Earth are the album art and PVs connected to the theme of hope? progress and beloved, maybe, okay. But BRILLANTE, ANother song, and Why... have nothing to do with hope. The album art is just Ayu looking fierce, and the booklet is just... Ayu covered in smeared lipstick. That has nothing to do with hope. If the album was about hope and not just as an afterthought (which, if anything, it had to be a REALLY REALLY REALLY late afterthought), hope would have been a lot more obvious. Because those songs and PVs are not about hope; the majority of them are about breakups and not in a hopeful way. Ayu may have said it was about hope, but I do not at all believe that she was genuinely thinking about hope before the album was almost finished.

I understand what you're saying, but it didn't not have its own tour because it was only five songs. It didn't have its own tour because it didn't even exist yet when PoM began. Saying FIVE had a tour is like saying the 48-49-50 singles project had a tour. It was just an add on to a preexisting tour.

I don't think I've ever even listened to an album where all the songs work together perfectly with the PVs, cover art, lyrics etc. With albums there are usually at least a few random things that don't fit in with everything else so unlike some people here, I never expect that from anyone, especially not ayu.
