So what if some fans have bad opinions of Manny and they share them on the forum. Who even cares about their dumb opinions anyway lol

I mean, when it's someone like the JHobo or Paellaman, okay, you know there's something wrong...but...duh.

Everyone else...meh. I don't care if they hate on Manny. It only affects them It's not like these threads were going anywhere special.

Ayu is a celebrity. I'm sorry, but she doesn't have anything that's not up to the general scrutiny of the public. Isn't that obvious?

I think most just phrase their opinions wrong and come across too strongly on the Internet Some people may find Mannie unattractive, and always thought she'd be with someone they found attractive to make a power couple. Most thought she'd get with someone Japanese too. Their shock at her decision can come across badly, especially to people who are more laid-back in regards to her personal life decisions.

I'm not too bothered as long as he isn't a total idiot who insults her in public etc etc. He seems like a nice guy who works hard and stays out of the limelight. Jeez, the guy is now married to a superstar and he hasn't attention-seeked in the slightest. Whether their marriage is working or will work long-term are common subjects to be brought up, but the bottom line is we'll never know and we don't deserve to. Ayu - and Mannie - deserve privacy.

@Emiko: I'm not hating on anyone who's negative, I just want to point out that their opinions are just ones that have been repeated for what seems forever and it doesn't lead to a very interesting discussion. And yeah, she's a celebrity with her life up for scrutiny, but it doesn't mean every detail needs to be looked at with a metaphorical microscope

I do keep wondering if we'll ever see scans of this "SUPER AYU" book. I remember seeing someone saying they had a copy who was a fan..but I don't think it was ever confirmed or not.

Again, I am not trying to control her personal life, or really even disapproving of them or their love for one another. This is strictly based off of my opinion on his physical attractiveness. Doesn't mean I want to control her personal life or believe I should have a say in it. I think people automatically assume that's where it stems from, which isn't always the case.

^Exactly. I disliked the Mannie the moment he showed up in Virgin road before we knew they got married, I think.

I just didnt think much of him of his acting/modelling ability and I still don't but seriously, there were only like 2 comments made by members questioning why he's with Ayu and suddenly one concludes that all the anti Mannie comments are made by people jealous of him and Ayu? I had no idea we had so many freudians in here! Although I dont even care who Ayu marries, I honestly wish her all the happiness in the world. However, I do care and will comment when they try to shove a subpar product down my throat, like half the Love songs pvs. God how I tried to like them and just could not.

I don't know. I understand the super Mannie book was a gift to Ayu but if its being sold, that makes me wonder if Mannie trying to create a niche in Japan too?

^ If you're referring to me, this conversation about Mannie just went on and on for me making a point against one person who was obviously just hating. I said earlier I'm not 'hating' on anyone who's not a fan of Mannie, just tired of seeing blatantly insultive posts. And maybe his book was him trying to venture into Japan, who knows? Leslie did do a few Western celebrities anyway in that "SUPER ____" project, but meh. If he wants to do business in Japan, idc.

I'm not offended, but I think theres a huge difference between people who comment cause they dont like something a person does/did and those who actually hate the person and wish they were in his place. The latter is very disturbing.

Anyhow I wouldn't be surprised if he did try to start a career in Japan. Alot of singers, models, actors etc make in big in japan and no where else. Is it riding Ayu's tail? only time will tell based on how he's presenting himself, and so long as he's not in any more Ayu videos thats all I can ask for.

It's fairly common for western models to enter the Japanese industry

I personally found it funny that they created more super manuels than super ayus lol

and honestly, I like Manny and I think he's somewhat attractive...but I don't really care much for his modeling or acting either. And I was surprised when he was working with Ayu as well. Was he really the only model in LA that they found? I guess they just liked his look.

Not everybody who dislikes Mannie, or thinks he's unattractive (because they're different things), is jealous of him.

I think he's ugly but I have no reason to dislike him. Nor do I care what he does, his work isn't part of Ayu's beyond his appearance in the Love Song's PVs. Maybe if he were to appear again, then I'd have an opinion on that. :S

I have no dislikes for Mannie at all. I remeber I did like him and thought he was sweet during the time they got married and everything. Now I haven't really heard something from them lately and they havent met each other for quite some time. I guess they are all good and probably miss each other like crazy. The thing that changed is that my "like" towards Mannie have changed into the fact that I kind of forget him sometimes. >.< I hope he can move to Japan and work as a model over there instead and they can be a happy couple together.

That's all. I'll leave them in peace. I trust them to know each other and make the decisions best made for them.

And she was just trying to cut down the whole 'anti-Mannie' talk going on. If she hadn't replied to you someone else would, so instead of being a major douche you could react kindlier, no one said a word about your rights or anything.
