Even though it says shipping soon I'm sure we will still get it at the time it tells us which is the 3-6 I'm not worried about it at all. Also I'm glad they look better than the DVD versions I wasn't expecting like someone else said some crazy new transfers on music videos. I'm so glad I'll be able to bring this to friends houses or watch it easily around my own on Blu not having to worry about bringing my unlocked DVD player or watching them on my computer. This is an investment for me.

^Yeah I think Amazon is probably just off for Jan 1 and 2, but the items are still likely to arrive between 3rd and 6th. Hopefully I will receive it by the 5th. I ordered the Blu-ray limited edition as well, because I just like fewer discs to begin with (haha). Also found a pic with two sets laid out together, both looking pretty nice ^^

720P is HD as is 480p, 1080i, and 1080p.

The only format that is NOT HD is 480i.

1080i only looks SLIGHTLY better than 720p, so there is hardly any difference.

If you look at it from a video game stance, 99.9% of all video games on PS3/360 are 720p upscaled to 1080p/1080i, so if this is the same, it's no big deal.

Once again, these are PV's in a superior format to the DVD's, and not Avatar. If they're at least NATIVE 720p I'll be happy, as that is significantly better than an upscale.

Wow, judging from these caps it's fair to say that most of her old videos (1998-2008) would be upscaled version from SD.lord. Im gonna go cancel my order.

No, 1080p/i is a lot better than 720p. If you have monitor with high resolution (1920 or more) you'll see that 720p is not crystal clear while 1080 is amazing. if your monitor is not full hd , you wont see much difference but that doesnt mean 1080 only slightly better.

I said 1080I is slightly better than than 720p, NOT 1080p.
420i < 420p < 720p < 1080i < 1080p

If anyone really thought these PV's were going to be 1080P and not 1080I they had another thing coming, only one of her convert Blu-Rays is 1080P, the rest are I.

I have a 42 inch 1080p TV and I can certainly tell the difference, but if they are 720p upscaled to 1080i, that just doesn't make sense to me. One's progressive and the other is interlaced, if you're going to upscale a 720p, it would be easier to turn it into 1080p than 1080i.

Who said she doesn't have true 1080i PVs? All of FIVE but ANother Song is 1080i.

I'm just curious about something. What are the advantages and disadvantages of interlace and progressive. I mean, if progressive is better than interlace, why are they still using interlaced video. Are there any technically reasons? Thank you

Shooting interlaced is cheaper and faster since only half as much data is needed.

I think they've just ship it out... I've just receive and email from them and tried to track it on DHL to no avail. Meaning that they've not keyed into the system cos it's a new item...

Maybe it's because of new year's holidays or something... CDJapan didn't cancel my order yet too it's still in shipping process (and they asked a mail from me to confirm new shipping fee, instead I sent a cancellation mail).
