OMG.. i have only listened up to In the Air and I have to say this is amazing!

If this is the direction that she is taking her music.. I have to say.. I am here to stay... she has done an amazing job with this album and I think I might actually start calling myself a fan..

Haha! I might actually order this!

I don't get Kingdom's love at all

anyway

I love every song, except You Are Not Alone , the audio rip from her concert is better than this and Everyday, forgettable

Top 5: Boom Boom Boys, All for You, LAY DOWN, SLOW and the intro/interludes

I'm hoping the comparisons are only compared to the songs all having PV's. Kingdom was the R&B-lite version of Black Cherry. Good album, but not her best up until today for me.

Apart from the placing of Ai Wo Tomenaide, this album flows amazingly. Slow works as a bridge from the opening dancey section, to a slower bit which picks up speed, then more dance ... Then All For You which as the last track I can pretend doesn't exist lol.

I can't get over how she just released one of the best Jpop albums ever and then that lukewarm DejaVu last year.
It's seriously a mystery to me.

i was never really in love with Dejavu. it had a few great tracks, but it was never my fav.
JAPONESQUE just seems like a really high quality album, none of it sounds filler to me.

Couldn't agree more, i enjoyed the singles and one or two album tracks, but the rest was just forgettable tbh.
JAPONESQUE is amazing from start to finish, sounds perfect as a whole, and just sticks out in her discography.

even the concept is amazing this time around. i wouldn't say it's original, but it's so... Koda Kumi. she's done this before with songs like Aisho and Unmei and i loved it then, and it's taken to an even sexier and better level now.

as sad as it is, i'm glad she's beginning her hiatus on such a positive note instead of putting out something lackluster.

honestly,i'm almost lost interest of kuu after universe,
but this album is turn me to love her again (and even beat black cherry & kingdom as my personal best album ever)

my favorites new song will be no man's land,so nice, escalation and lay down

there's only 3 song that i don't like really much:you're not alone, everyday and all for you (since this song only a studio record)
even brave sounds a lot better than the preview

i just want to say that this album is "MASTERPIECE"

I just listened and to me this is easily her worst album. Even after the Deja Vu trainwreck. I liked exactly one song. It's just...the 5th repeat of the same album from her. She needs to evolve, it's obvious from her sales and the NINKI for this album the public is already (getting) sick of her and if she continues like this, releasing the same stuff over and over, it will only get worse. If it sells more than 150k I'll be really surprised. Hell more than 125k will surprise me.

I hope her pregnancy will help her evolve as an artist and she will come back with a fresh album instead of warmed up TRICK leftovers.

^it doesn't really sound like her previous albums though, the exception being Dejavu. This is definitely a bit more western, a bit more hip hop influence, and even the cute songs on this album sound different.

You say she should evolve? What sound and style can you see her doing?
