New album 'Party Queen' out 03/21 information thread [IV]

The overwhelmingly negative responses people have had to anything Party queen related is so disheartening. I just recently joined AHS after being on AHN for two years and I never experienced the negativity that I've seen here over there. I'm sorry, but I am a fan of Ayu, not a critic or a casual observer. That's why I joined a fan forum. Yes, as fans, we can disagree about songs/styles/etc. but, at the end of the day, we're all still supposed to agree that we love Ayu. I don't get that feeling from reading recent posts of people saying how bad some of her stuff is and how she looks horrible in her recent ads and photo shoots. If you don't like Ayu or her music anymore, then why visit these topics and rage about it? Keep it to yourself so fans like me and others can maintain a positive attitude about her upcoming releases.

This is kinda ridiculous. The majority of us here are fans, we buy Ayu's stuff and some of us spend loads of cash just so we could go and see her live. That all doesn't mean we can't dislike something. The truth is the majority of her photo sessions during the past few years were pretty bad. Just because we dislike something that she has done doesn't mean we like her less. WTF? "Keep it to yourselves", last time I checked this isn't the land of sugar, spice and everything nice. I love Ayu, but she is far from perfect and there are so many things I'd do differently, but I don't get to choose what she'll do and that's alright. I don't mind, cuz in the end of the day sometimes you just have to adjust to an artist and their own ways. As I said disliking a couple of dumb pictures, performances or a pointless PV every now and then doesn't make anyone less of a fan ^^

You misunderstand, I totally understand disliking some of her songs, PVs, etc. but when people start calling her a drag queen and saying that her recent music is "God awful" and that her voice sounds "horrible" in HBYA, I feel upset. Yeah, there's some stuff she's put out where I've felt like, "This isn't the best." but I'm not going to cut it down and tell everyone "I'm not getting my hopes up for this album, 'cause all of her recent music has been so bad my ears are shot." There's a distinction between disliking something and being downright mean about it. That's all I was trying to say.

I get it and I feel the same, but that's not really anything new when it comes to AHS. It's been like that for as long as I can remember and I guess I had to accept that somewhere along the way. It was frustrating at first, but now that I have a number of people on my ignore list things seem better As I've said many times before, if people didn't like anything she has done for a number of years I also can't see a valid reason for them visiting the Ayu part of the forum.

what u said here is kinda....er.... i dunno... I mean people who say they don't like this or that, don't go "I hate her music, I hate the looks and I hate Ayu" none ever said that. I myself am very tolerant towards the releases of hers, I never REALLY disliked something she did, for as long as I am a member of the forum. I love her works dearly and I still adore her as much as I always did, it's just right now I don't feel her recent stuff even tho i absolutelly love HBYA and the cover of it, everything else seems like a total mess for MY EYES, and very cheesy you can keep your possitive atitude as well as I can keep mine " no good" one and it's all ok. And honestly? in my eyes this is the least negativity on this forum for Party Queen than it ever happened before. It's like 90% of the forum loves every single piece she's doing now. Even tho for me she looks absolutelly hideous adn the name of the album doesn't sound like there will be some amazing stuff FOR ME...It doesn't mean it can't sound amazing for someone else. I don't like cheesy stuff, so far she's doing only that for all the PQ promo. I like classy stuff more, or say smart cheesy stuff when it's done in a tasteful way or in a slightly strange way. That's my preferance.
The point is every normal sane fan can disslike things about the artist once in a while, it's healthy, however if you keep dissliking things one after an other for like 5 years, then this is the point where you should probbaly move on and find an other artist you love.
But as you said we all are here because we love Ayu, and disliking something doesn't mean you hate the artist. I think we all know that with Ayu for most fans it's either HIT or MISS. i gotta say i've already got used to that....
