A new compilation album might be interesting. I would like something like A BALLADS but with her strong rock or pop songs. That would be so cool!

I've been anxious for an A BALLADS album so much, that I made two playlists for them already lol. I named them Diamond and Pearl (to continue with the colour and gemstone theme). Part of me wishes she'd go back and re-record "ever free" just because hocrap it's so beautiful and it's timeless.

But tbh if she released a compilation album with her darker stuff... it'd probably tank on the charts ._. which is a shame, but! That's why we have playlists.

I can just approve what you're saying !
But unfortunately, I don't think she could sing it today : there are so much high notes, that she could barely reach with her current voice....
I was already kinda disappointed with the ~10th Anniversary~ versions we got in 2008 (Depend on You, YOU, LOVE ~Destiny~, TO BE, Who...).

I know ._. I didn't mind the 10th anniversary versions so much but they WERE really different from what I remembered, and they didn't feel as ... special, I think? Or at least they didn't have a certain spark. Maybe it's because I'm too used to the originals. But anyway... ever free is just such a wonderful song that I think got passed over so unfairly :c Same with It was, still alone, Dolls, Liar, criminal, count down... and others lol
