But there's artists selling a fraction of what Ayumi is selling on the major music shows. There's tons of people moving 5-20k copies per release only that regularily appear. It really boils down to either an actual problem with the shows or Ayumi/avex not wanting to go on shows right now it seems.

There is always that too. Still those artists might be selling way better digitally, the way for instance Nishino Kana does...
