Its the same with popstars. I don't think they are based off something but draw inspiration from it.

Being based on someone and drawing inspiration from someone is basically the same thing if the final goal is making it recognizible enought to be appealing to the public. You are getting characteristics from past performers to construct yourself as a performer.

And I'm not saying this is something bad, or wrong, just that this happens.

being based off something implies more than just drawing inspiration from.

its just my personal preference. (I do a lot of writing and TV work and drawing inspiration is much better then basing it off something... I'm thinking of it as a book turned to movie however)

I thought AGAIN wouldn't be as good as LOVE, but I was so wrong!! I think AGAIN is even better than LOVE!! Love all the new tracks, the PVs really help alot.

I agree with Yumsushi, what Maikaru has been saying is really true, the general consensus and sentiments are true and on-going about Ayu. When her own TeamAyu diehard fans feel the same way as the general public or casual listeners... this is seriously not good for Ayu and her image. Don't forget, what make Ayu lasts so long until now after her peak... is still mainly her Japanese fans...who attends her yearly tour routines... majority Japanese fans, Japanese Audience... not us.. international fans/ asian fans...
