I've known them for.. about 3 years now, and I have no problem pointing out who's who, based on their voices or appearences, took me a few weeks to get to remember everyone but I'm a fast learner Taeyeon et Seohyun were the easiest for me to point out, based on voice only, as for looks, I had a tendency to mix up seohyun and yuri at first lol
As I first got into them, they were promoting in Japan, so Sooyoung stand out the most as she's the only one who's fluent.. I even thought she was the leader or something at first lol

I can't believe I used to struggle to put their names to their faces. Especially Seohyun and Yoona...they look similar to start with but once you're familiar they look so different.

I keep mixing Yoona and Yuri when I don't see them together. It's usually when the camera shows Yuri before Yoona, and I go like... "is that Yoona or Yuri....?" and then it shows Yoona and I'm like, "Ah WELL DUH"

^^That video was the bane of my existence 2 years ago when I first got into these girls and was deciphering whether they were all the same person or not. I remember getting pissed off at After School, my introduction into all things Korean. Had they not prepared me with their group numbers, I would not have lasted with Girls' Generation. Seems like it took me forever to rearrange these chicks into comprehensible order.

As for their Album. I thought "Express 999" was something different, retro and special when I first heard it. The magic faded away after the 3rd listen. It's still okay and unique but it's not as mysterious anymore.

I LOVE "Talk Talk" so much more than "Boom Boom". It's like it was mixed better, they utilized their voices better. They played around and didn't just do it to check it off the list of songs needed to be done like "Boom Boom" feels. And the way "Boom Boom" was revealed was just so sloppy and a disappointment, and that has always affected how I have perceived the song.

I need to listen to "XYZ" more. And pay more attention when I'm listening to it to really decide whether I like it or not. Same goes for "Look AT Me".

As for the rest. Lay it to waste.

And as for "Dancing Queen". I only listened to that once when the video was released and that was enough. I already know it is trash. Refuse to even look at the live performances.

Question. After looking at the video with SOME of the backtracking vocals smoothed out of the live performance, I wonder if they are all linked to the same sound output in their ears and can hear each other...........BECAUSE THAT WOULD BE MAD EMBARRASSING. Lulz.

and it's sad that i read at somewhere, i forgot, ppl criticized her for not really being professional in doing the IGAB dance routines in one of the comebacks. sigh..give her a break.. u know the part where they do the head shaking...and sica didn't do it properly at that one time... sigh..ppl will never get to understand how hectic SM artists schedule.. SM has no mercy~~

Twitter trans was saying that she fainted and fell in the performance but still made it to curtain call although she didn't do any costume changes but collapsed and cried and couldn't even hold the dog before being escorted out. She went to hospital straight after the musical was over and the other 8 joined her soon after.

I also heard some sasaeng fans followed her there in cars to try and get pictures. How gross........

They call her "lazy" and stuff but she honestly works really hard - I've come to love her a lot for her work ethic. I hope she and the other 8 get lots of rest and aren't pushed too hard by SM.

i think Hyoyeon did the best effort on dance...not really on vocal (she didn't get that much though..can't blame her on that)...but i think this Jessica tragedy thing...is totally acceptable...their schedule is so crazy!!!

Jessica has NEVER shook her head right in ANY of the performances. Too cute to mess up her hair I guess. Piss me off. Especially when her body wave be so on point.

Yuri is the only one who knows how to shake that head and swoosh that hair. Nope, not even Hyo-yeon be doing it every time.

And the part right before after Yuri's line when they hold their faces and move up and down and to the side, Yuri has been the ONLY one to jerk her head hard enough to make her hair do what it do baaaybeee.
