No, they didn't...at least not for me. Back in the days when Ayu set her record there were only one (maybe two) versions of an album/a single to buy. AKB48 has like 5 different versions of all their albums/singles. Most of their fans even buy more of each version, because of the "extras" that come with the releases! So how could anybody even think about comparing these two very different situations? Congratulations to AKB48, but Ayu is still The #01 in my eyes!
