That would be awful. Like, not good at all. I can't think about how a happy, carefree song like Feel the love might be the result of Avex forcing her to come up with something new.
I don't think so, though. Ayu seems to me to be in that stage of her career where she can do pretty much what she wants. Maybe they managed to convince her. That sounds better than force her.

Here's hoping this isn't a one time thing. Looking forward to seeing Pray released as a single a few months from now~! And omg, a return to summer singles for 2014!

If Ayu was someone that could be told what to do by Avex...I'm pretty sure her career wouldn't be in the state it is in now.

I think even if she mentions why she decided to release a single in an interview or elsewhere, she'll say she did it for fans.

It's interesting that even though m-flo is featured in merry go round, it doesn't have a "feat. M-flo" or "feat. Verbal" in the title.

Maybe they're barely noticeable other than that rap in the track compared to JUNO/Urata's involvement previously? Either way, having m-flo do production on a song is pretty big for Ayu since she usually has her own little team do it.

m-flo also worked with Ami Suzuki on Reincarnation without any sort of m-flo tag on it.

it's so un-Ayu for her to have a "feat. XXX" in her songs... I think only 3 or 4 of her whole discography is like this

That's because only "taku" produced it. When he produces music for others they don't usually mention him in the title itself (Endless Love by Miliyah Kato is a prime example). When VERBAL is featured, they usually include his name into the title. So it's just bizarre this time.

I agree! I think Ayu's fan base is generally pretty good looking.

For some reason I think Avex didn't force her to release anything. Maybe they just discussed it at the office and Ayu decided to release a single herself. There might be a sadder song on the single if she was forced into it... or maybe I just want to think Ayu decided it herself. :p

And if Ayu starts to release singles again, she could do like Namie did with FEEL: one physical single (Big Boys Cry / Beautiful) and three digital singles (Contrail, Hands on Me and Heaven) were released.
