Because they need to ship the goods to her from Japan via Tenso.

So...

1) Misa-chan orders in one big order
2) The items are paid for and shipped in Japan to Tenso
3) Tenso ships to Singapore because that is where Misa-chan is
4) Misa-chan figures out totals for everyone (items you purchased + shipping from Japan to Singapore + shipping to you) and ships out when she receives payment

That is probably how I see it going anyway. The deposits will probably help with shipping to Singapore so Misa doesn't have to pay too much and you will pay for the remainder. (Your total minus $5 USD)
