No, it's not. It would be superficial if she was constantly shoving it in our faces saying "LOOK AT ALL THE POINTLESS SHIT I HAVE, AREN'T I AWESOME?? LOLOLOL". Or implying that if you can't afford the same you're a lowly unworthy being. Neither of which she does. Spending money, however much or whatever on, does not itself make someone superficial.

When I typed my post, Ayu wasn't in my head at all.
I may have been thinking of obsessive consumerism, which I fervently believe is worse. People who buy things all the time.

^ Ah, okay ^_^. I wasn't really trying to have a go at you specifically, it just bugs me when people yell out 'superficial!' at things that really aren't.

Rich people buy things in excessive because they can.
Doesn't ayu has a toilet made of diamonds? (who remembers that? I could be wrong)

If I could get all of the excessive lipgloss in the world and not be poor, I'll do it in a jiffy.

^ I think that was just a rumor. Some hotel in Hong Kong has a diamond encrusted toilet

I was actually hoping she'd prefer some less 'obvious' brands, some less known 'artist' she could promote. When a person is rich it's always Chanel, Loboutin or Dior, this disappoints me on some level, maybe because I don't see any splendor in those, they are so overused. Is the quality of those products really that great or is it actually just the name? Chosing these brands makes me think of Ayu as more ordinary, more like Kardashian and any other rich person who just wants to buy as much as possible of what is most known and not necessarily what it the best. But well, it's her money, she can do whatever she wants.

^i kinda agree on that. there are so many great things that are less known, designers that are more special but oh well. She's kind of "like any other female celeb" at this point.

some picture previews on baidu http://tieba.baidu.com/p/2830962361

Gosh I can't wait to get this.

I ordered it a little late from mu-mo so I wasn't able to get it on the release date. It'll be here by the 28th at the latest lol.

I see, I get what you mean

Also, in the book, the selfie of Ayu with the boobs. Holy sexual. Never seen Ayu in that light before. I'm like, looking at it and really really like it. It's the first time I've found her attractive

You people have huge collections of ayu stuff or other artist/japanese music huge collections, buying multiple versions of the same release for example is like ayu buying the same kind of shoes in different colors. No one here can really judge her about things she does. She is working for all the luxury she has and as long as she is not doing crimes everything is ok =)
It's interesting to see the things she likes, even though a lot of times women can relate to it more (since ayu buy stuff that fits her gender lol) but I like the cute and gorgeous pics that come with these books so I get it too. Give the woman a break and don't judge her for having a consuming/luxury life. I'm coming from an average - economic family, and if I would earn as much as ayu does it would be really comfortable to get these stuff. It's harder to relate if we are not there but it's ok to have ambitions to get such stuff as well. + Don't forget that everything she releases it's first and foremost for the Japanese audience, and Japanese women are INTO these things wether they have money or less.

She's always had a love for these name brands... I'm not really sure why anyone would have thought that she'd be into anything else when she's been so upfront about being a Chanel/LV/Dior/etc. addict.

The quality is usually there for these brands which is why they are well known. Why wouldn't it be high quality?

This book looks really promising, I really want to see her skincare!! But it seems that it does contain a lot of photos from the photoshoot of Ayu photo book it even has the same cover! This is kinda disappointing...
