MUSIC STATION artist line up for May 23

The artist line up for MUSIC STATION's May 23 broadcast has been revealed.

Next week's episode will feature performances by KANA-BOON, Inaba Koshi (B'z), AKB48, Nishino Kana, TOKIO, and flumpool.

KANA-BOON will make their first appearance on the show with their new single "Full Drive" which will be released on May 21. Meanwhile, this will be Inaba's first time appearing solo in about 10 years, and he will sing "oh my love" which is being used in a CM starring professional soccer player Honda Keisuke.

B'z to provide the theme song for NHK drama 'Dark Suit'

B'z will provide their new song "Exit To The Sun" as the theme song for NHK's drama 'Dark Suit', which will premiere on November 22.

Starring Saito Takumi, 'Dark Suit' is a suspense drama that tells the story of an employee of a general electronic device manufacturing company, who exposes bribes that are taking place within the company.

B'z wrote the song "Exit to the Sun" just for this upcoming drama. Regarding the song, the drama's chief producer Yaguchi Takayuki commented, "While 'Dark Suit' is a tough and profound business suspense drama, what underlies the story is the mental theme of believing in hope and holding onto dreams. The theme song is a wonderful song that provides a physical form for that mental part."

The last single that B'z released was "GO FOR IT, BABY -Kioku no Sanmyaku" in April of 2012. While the release of "Exit to the Sun" hasn't been determined yet, fans can look forward to hearing the new song when the drama begins airing.

Oricon reveals annual 'ideal faces chosen by men' ranking

Last week, Oricon revealed its annual "ideal faces chosen by women" ranking, and now, the "ideal faces chosen by men" ranking has been revealed.

For 5 straight years, actor/singer Fukuyama Masaharu held the the number 1 spot, but this year, that spot went to actor Mukai Osamu.

Mukai was scouted while working as a bartender and made his acting debut in 2006. While he's starred in many dramas, movies, and stage plays, it wasn't until his role in NHK's 'Gegege no Nyobo' in 2010 that he made his big break. Since then, he's taken on lead roles in dramas such as 'Hungry!' (Fuji TV) and 'S -Saigo no Keikan-' (TBS). Recently, it was reported that he would be getting married to actress Kuninaka Ryoko next month.
