Oh, so the album PVs were done by "A CREW"... I wonder if that means that the dancers and so on produced them themselves.

Also the design / photography was done by Alvin's crew it looks like since they all seem to be Singaporean photographers/designers?

I think she needs a happy medium. Being accessible was what got her popular in the first place, but being an accessible GODDESS was what made her a legend. Her outfits weren't incredibly normal & basic, nor were they high fashion no one could ever really wear without being a celebrity. Then between 2006 and 2008 or so she was getting too inaccessible (too "goddess"), with high fashion no one could ever imitate or buy affordable knock-offs of. Then she went WAY too natural, posing with beige everything, in sheets, in her underwear, looking like she's in her PJs all the time.

This booklet has her more in "costume" type fashions overall, which is very cool, and the cover has an outfit you could easily find something similar to in a department store if you like that style, even though it's not the same thing. This is overall a step in the right direction.

But it still doesn't seem to have a point. Which I miss. I want her booklets to have a point. And this one clearly COULD have had a point, but it doesn't seem to - That photo of her standing in the red outfit in front of the brick wall REALLY should have been one of the covers. The whole album marketing should have centered around THAT LOOK. That's an urban phoenix, rising from the ashes of low sales to blow our frickin' minds with an amazing comeback! Why is THAT not THE LOOK for this album!?

Watching Ayu's interview now. She mentions that there's an English version of Terminal too, but Armin liked the Japanese one more, so that's what they went with haha.

PS - the candle smells so good! I'm not a candle person, (well, in Japan they're hard to come by...) so I don't know what sets this apart from other candle...but it's not even lit and it smells awesome haha.

It's a different case for each artist. I'm pretty sure Namie doesn't speak English, study English, or even try to pronounce words correctly in English in songs. Example # 1 and 2 -Let me let you go and Beautiful. Ayu has been studying English for a long time now and even had that one interview on cnn back in '08 half in English. We have yet to have a full English song by her in her discography and I'm sure it'd actually sound pretty amazing pronunciation wise compared to what Namie has done. Her accent is thick, but it's not Engrish. Even if it is a bit hard to understand, at least she's trying.

I've gotten really behind with all the news and song previews for this album. I finally checked out XOXO, Lelio, and Angel.

I was really impressed. Her vocals sound pretty good and her music sounds SO WESTERN! It was actually pretty cool to hear her doing something that had such a strong American vibe to it. I will always love Ayumi from her earlier years, but this is a good change for the here and now.

I didn't much care for the actual music videos...Angel's was fine but the other two felt a little lacking as if they just don't have the money to really put their all into it. But, I care more about high-quality songs than high-quality videos.

Edit: Also, I know I've already said this, but I absolutely love the album covers! They are so pretty!!
