Wondering if there's any Ayu dolls?? As in Barbie dolls, etc

Not official, no. I've always thought that Takara Tomy should have made Ayu dolls at some point... And to this day I'm surprised that Ayu's Barbie Award in 2001 didn't yield any official Ayu Barbies! I mean how did that NOT happen!?!?

Ughh sucks! Namie has some really pretty dolls, I want ayu have a collab with either tomy or barbie and release every outfit for every album cover/best concert costumes or something! I would spend big bucks~, it would revive my collection

I'm re-listening to Secret album and as I'm reading through the lyrics once again I can't help but think "What was the secret? Was she trying to convey it through this album?" or some sort.

I read somewhere that somebody thinks the hidden message to the fan was "I don't want to fade away". what do you guys think?

I'm trying to find some old threads that already discussed this topic, but so far none.

The album goes through several songs where she is this strong woman, that knows what she wants, that is strong even during the bad times... And it ends on Secret, a song where she says all of her superwoman public image is just that, an image.

I also wonder what her secret might be. Back then I couldn't find many theories that made sense to me.

Which reminds me, I really loved the "*Album Name* era concept analysis threats" we had a few months ago and people wrote really interesting theories about lyrics, artwork and misc background info! Unfortunately they are not getting any love anymore

I'm planning on making a Barbie OOAK (one of a kind)...

I have a few different dolls I'm considering as the base. I can post pics sometime so people can help me choose. The OOAK would consist of a possible re-root of her hair and changing her face paint, along with assembling an outfit that's Ayu-ish (since sewing outfits is too hard, lol)

I've been planning this for a few years but won't be able to until this summer probably.

I do have thoughts that based on some of the language used in "Secret" and some past songs that Ayu has had serious suicidal thoughts in the past... She has some lyrics that could be interpreted multiple ways, but that's certainly one possible interpretation.

I've always associated "walking proud" with suicide. Makes the song a little harder for me to listen to but so much more powerful.

That would be the Tomoya Nagase era. But that may have been a rumor, although I jumped in the Ayumi Hamasaki bandwagon literally after the Secret album was released (Secret released November 29th, 2006; I jumped in the Ayu fandom on December of that year, not very sure at the time as it was my first foray into Ayu - didn't realize her career started way back in 1995! - and Japanese pop music overall)...

Three years and two albums later, I still find myself going back to Party Queen at hard times. I really love this album, despite many hating it.
