I had mentioned that I believe Memorial address - GUILTY is definitely a segregated era for Ayu.

I went to karaoke with a friend and I sang evolution. My friend found that the song was so damn good (or my voice, maybe? lol!) and he urgently needed me to copy him the song. I copied him A BEST and A BEST 2 as well and he starts to like most of the songs and now he tries to catch up Ayu's entire discography. He even told me that Ayu is his no.1 now, beating his two favorite kpop groups; I was pretty amazed to know that!!!!

I'm glad that I made him a fan unintentionally. Usually, I would never ever share with my friends what songs I listen to, unless I'm asked. I just don't like to brag about my favorite artists, it's not that I'm not proud of them but there's always a possibility that your friend hate certain genre of music and I don't like being insulted just because of music tastes.

Well, he's in AHS but probably won't post anything LOL

I love stories like this! Lol

Also, I wonder why they cut so many tracks from AT 2009 3D. I recently bought the blu ray and never realized it before. I was looking forward to watching LOVE n HATE in 3D! Lol

I've been feeling poorly the past couple days and spent a lot of time re-watching old Ayu performances...

AT2009 is really, really good. Like, I distinctly remember going to see it and being like "hmmmmmmmmmmmmm I don't know if I liked it" but six years later I don't remember why I thought that? lol. The opening with Rule was killer, and the rollin'/Sparkle part is HILARIOUS omfg. I also completely forgot that she sang HOPE or PAIN? I liked that songs like HoP, In the Corner, Hana, etc. were definitely not obvious choices for additions to the tracklist but they worked so well in the context. And it kind of keeps the audience guessing. The tour also reminded me of how well BLUE BIRD would have worked as a track on NEXT LEVEL, lol

a-nation 2005 WAS PERFECT. is this LOVE? was amazing. HANABI was god-tier status. Her body, hair, everything was on point. augh I fall in love all over again every time I watch those performances

Also....SHU-YA'S BLACK 'FRO AT A-NATION 2006 IS THE MOST TRAGIC THING I'VE EVER SEEN

I'm listening to my Duty CD I got last night. -SIGH- I just feel the need to rant about it whenever I listen to it, but then the words just don't come out right. XD I just love it to pieces. There really is nothing about it I dislike. I think one of the things I LOVE about it is how it truly sounds sooo 90s and early 2000s simultaneously. UGH, I just love it. D: I can't get over how melancholy so much of it sounds.

Edit: the only thing that could make it better for me would be having Ever Free on it...I need to buy the singles that have the original version and the one with HAL's mix on it.

A Song for XX (song) never gets old for me.

Such a well put together song.

For me, I've really fallen in love recently with the bridge of NOW & 4EVA. Especially in concert... can't really get tired of the "oo la la la, let me love you forever" portion!

I'm listening to Ayu after a few beers. Ayu + alcohol is such a good combination. I kinda miss my college days sometimes XD

I used to have gaming nights at my place with Ayu music playing in the backround. Absolutely no one said she was bad, they either liked her or didn't care.

I learned before college not to tell anyone what music I liked. I got tired of that and it appeared to me that Ayu is kind of easy for people to accept or like. I guess it's because of her lovely melodies and charisma when singing live

If there ever is an Ayu tribute album that comes out, I would kill for a studio version of ELT covering YOU. I'm going back and rewatching a bunch of old Ayuready? episodes and the ELT one/backstage at a-nation '03 episodes in particular had me rolling

Mocchi's interactions with Ayu are pretty hilarious. AAYYYYUUCHAAAAAAAAN!

Ayu has so many gems she doesn't perform too often. It really makes me kinda sad because I hear the same 10 or so songs in every rotation of concerts that I would like to see more concerts with the staples toned down a bit.

Sometimes, certain songs of Ayu's will suddenly strike my interest. Far Away is one of those right now.

I wish I could describe why I like that song so much.

Same here!! I never really cared much for vogue or Far away because I'm not a huge fan of the arrangement I guess but I recently saw an old live performance of far away with subtitles and I just fell in love with the lyrics I think for far away that wavering sound wasn't really my cup of tea but now I know why it's there and why it fits in so well! After listening to it a few times I just got hooked!

Same with Melody: I just never cared much for it but after listening to it while reading the lyrics I fell in love! I thought it was a pretty basic song like meaning of love (kind of ruined RnRC awesomeness for me) but turns out it's super pretty! I'm sad it hasn't been performed

ExodusUK I agree!! I think it's such a wonderful song!! I really like the part when she talks about people being sad and not agreeing to that statement, and that she hopes people are happy beings!

sitara I also loved reading people's analysis on certain albums and concepts. I'm sad that the discussion stopped I think it was because of disagreements but I'm not sure. I wish we could discuss more stuff like that without fighting.
