Little random question to anyone living in Canada or US, but since all of Hikki's albums (except FL, Distance & DR) were released physically here in North America, have you still continued buying them from Japan? Or are your copies of Exodus, TITO, UB, HS, SCV1 & SCV2 the local released editions?

There used to be a Virgin Mega Store here in NYC and they had all of Hikki's albums there
and my uncle bought them from there.

Also her Exodus and Devil Inside single were in fye.

I've never see any of her stuff in America ever. Except for obviously TITO and Exodus. One time I did see a single copy of Ultra blue in a Best buy. It sat there for many years.

I remember there was a copy of HS at my hmv that didn't go anywhere for years until I finally bought it.

I've seen UB at Walmart before, but for hikki (and most of the JPop stuff) I only bought Japanese versions. I still believe that Japanese versions are better in quality. Of course, I haven't bought any cds recently so things might have changed.

^Interesting... Only store I've EVER seen any Asian artists North American releases at is HMV. Our local one still carries a copy of each of those Hikki ones regularly. They also had quite a few of BOA's US album both Reg & Deluxe for awhile when it first released, but now they don't stock em anymore.

I bought This Is the One at my local Best Buy when it first came out. Other than that, have never seen Utada's other CDs on store shelves. All my copies are Japanese except Exodus which I ordered the US version from Amazon.

Every time she ever released something in america I'd buy it to support her American sales. I always thought it was annoying when people online would buy the japanese version of exodus, or tito who lived in america. I'd be like "Bitch! Don't fuck up her sales numbers! It's your fault if it doesn't do well!" LoL

I believe I purchased all of her releases from Exodus onward at hmv here in Toronto. It still gets me excited to see them there. Still disappointed though that her Singles Collection Vol. 2 got cancelled for distribution in hmv and possibly all of Canada?

I used to have the Utada United version of First Love. It was really beautiful. But i changed my laptop and I cannot find the file anymore. I hope someone would upload and share it just incase. The version of Colors there is pure love too <3

I know. I preordered it from them and after several months I had to call twice before they informed me of this fact, which even took them like 20 mins on the phone to figure out. Plus they give me a real attitude every time I ask for something that isnt like mainstream popular American. Now I only walk into a different location than that one and only buy if it's already on the shelf. Anyways I got my copy of SCV2 from SAM THE RECORD MAN in Belleville, ON. They had it for $15 sitting on the shelf. Its also where I got Laruku's Awake & Smile albums years ago when Tofu Records was still around.
