I've just watched Arashi's performances from today's MSSL & omg, I've enjoyed them so incredibly much!!!

They couldn't have chosen more perfect songs to perform, than "GUTS !", "Meikyuu Love Song" & "Daremo Shiranai". Those are just some of my favorites from the boys! I've loved how during "GUTS !", all those balloons were just everywhere on stage! So cute, lol! The whole performance was just so cute, actually. And tons of fun to watch! "Meikyuu Love Song" was lovely to watch & "Daremo Shiranai" was just plain amazing to watch. seriously. Arashi totally rocked that performance! And Ohno's facial expression at the end of the performance was so hilarious yet very cute, all at the exact same time! Arashi were looking better than ever during these performances, as well. They all looked so good in those outfits!

ARASHI Ends 5-Dome Tour With State-Of-The-Art Technology

Last December 23, popular group Arashi celebrated the final day of their 5-large Dome Tour at Tokyo Dome.

Titled as “THE DIGITALIAN“, state-of-the-art digital technology was used for 55,000 fans. Instead of using penlight, LED fan-lights in were used to illuminate the entire dome. A first of attempt in the world, Matsumoto Jun worked with structure and production that took three years and he’s satisfied to see the results. “I was able to see a wonderful scene in your favour,” he commented as fan-lights get illuminated in Arashi’s five colours using wireless LED system. A huge and tall moving stage “ARASHI MOVING WING” was also utilised.

LED system aside, all members heart rate were monitored from the beginning, real-time on a video. The members also attached muscle sensor to their arms during their “Hope in the Darkness” performance to catch the movement of their muscles, in return, they can manipulate the lights and sounds. As for division of labour, Leader Ohno Satoshi was responsible with the choreography of four songs. In addition, Aiba Masaki also had a surprise birthday celebration, Aiba’s birthday falls on the 24th, “It’s really good to be born on Christmas eve”. Taking advantage of the fanlights, chosen lights turned to green (Aiba’s colour) with a message, “Omedatou Masaki”.

Arashi will end this year after celebrating a milestone, which is their 15th year anniversary that they celebrated in Hawaii. All in all, Arashi sang 37 songs and they were able to mobilised 845,000 people from 5 venues and 18 performances.

ARASHI Invites You To Japan With “Omotenashi Nippon”

The theme of the promotion video for Japan tourism is “Omotenashi Nippon”. Serving as tourism ambassadors, Arashi is featured on the video to introduce “omotenashi”, as published by the Japan National Tourist Office.

“Omotenashi” has become a buzzword ever since Tokyo Olympic bid ambassador Christel Takigawa uttered the word in her speech to the International Olympic Committee. It can be translated to elaborate courtesy, but not quite, or allude to the spirit of Japanese hospitality. The promotional video hopes to better showcase it.

The members of Arashi portray different people working in the areas of “Lodging”, “Shopping”, “Dining”, “Sightseeing” and “Bathing” – shoe caretaker in a long-established ryokan (Japanese inn) (Sakurai Sho), sales person at a souvenir shop (Aiba Masaki), washoku chef (Matsumoto Jun), landscape gardener (Ninomiya Kazunari) and sento painter (Ohno Satoshi) – to experience the roles played by those working behind the scenes to support the meticulous omotenashi Japan is known for. As they interact with craftsmen and customers and learn the spirit of omotenashi and consideration for others, they introduce Japanese omotenashi to foreign tourists.

Arashi to provide theme song of drama "Ouroboros"

It was announced that Arashi’s first single of 2015, titled “Sakura” will be released on February 25. The song will be the theme song of the new TBS drama OUROBOROS ~ Kono Ai Koso, Seigi (January 16, 10 pm) starring Ikuta Toma, who belong to the same agency as Arashi, and Oguri Shun. This is the group’s first drama theme song starring a non-member.

The press conference for the drama was held today. Regarding the theme song, Ikuta Toma is glad that Arashi has participated to provide the theme song, it has become an encouraging boost. He stated “As a friend and Arashi’s number one fan, I am really happy. Thank you, Arashi!”. Oguri Shun on the other hand talks about having appeared several times in a drama with an Arashi theme song, and how this will be the 5th time.

The single will be released in 2 editions.

Yay! I am so totally excited for a new single! Even I'm a bit surprised to see Arashi providing a theme song, to a drama which doesn't star an Arashi member. But Matsujun & Oguri Shun are already like, best friends, so I guess it's close enough!

"Sakura" is such a lovely title & if that's the song, that's playing in the background of the Ouroboros CM (sounds like arashi's voices to me! ), then it's sounding pretty nice, so far! Hopefully we get like a radio rip of it or something, real soon! And I already can't wait to see the covers & watch the PV. Is it February 25th, yet?! I am so excited!

Arashi's 1st single for 2015 to be the theme song for 'Ouroboros' starring Ikuta Toma and Oguri Shun

Popular idol group Arashi's first single for 2015, entitled "Sakura" would be released on February 25.

The single will be used as the theme song for upcoming TBS drama "Ouroboros ~Kono Ai koso, Seigi" starring Ikuta Toma and Oguri Shun which will begin airing on January 16 (every Friday at 10:00 pm). This marks the first time for Arashi to participate in a drama just for the theme song.

"Ouroboros" is a live-action drama adaptation of Kanzaki Yuya's manga, and it marks the first time in 8 years for Ikuta and Oguri to co-star with each other since Fuji TV's 2007 drama "Hanazakari no Kimitachi e ~Ikemen♂Paradise~". It tells the story of a detective and Yakuza member who team up to reveal the truth behind a murder that they witnessed in the past.

On the 11th, the drama's preview event was held, and both Ikuta and Oguri made an appearance. Ikuta who is said to be good friends with Arashi, talked about the theme song, saying, "As the theme of this drama is 'feel for others', I am glad that my old friends participated in it by providing a song. They gave us a strong boost. Thank you Arashi!"

Oguri also commented, "It's a great support. I've had many opportunities to be part of works that Arashi sings its theme songs, compared to other actors. Maybe, I'm also an Arashi member?"

Very convenient. A BUNDLED SET of BOTH editions. Makes sense since one B-side is only on the Limited Edition with the DVD and not on the Regular Edition, while it's vice versa for the other two B-sides (Regular Edition only)...

Anyways, I have a feeling that isn't new...has this done before?
