AWESOME Lana del Rey news!!!!!. The two songs are released on YouTube. I really hope, like Refix said, that there is a chance these songs will get nominated. Lana wrote these songs for the upcoming movie "Big Eyes" directed by Tim Burton. The movie will release this Christmas.
Big Eyes I Can Fly Assuming Burton will strike again with some 'creepy' movie, I really like the eerie vibe from both songs, though "I Can Fly" is my favourite. This makes me even excited for the movie. I am really curious how the sound will connect with the movie. There are also rumors that she will release a new album in August 2015. I do not know how accurate these rumors are, but she confirmed in an interview to have recorded ten new songs already. The songs are great news already. So hear it and love it ![]() |

The big eyes movie is not creepy at all. It's a true life story of a painter woman in 50s or 60s who painted portraits of big-eyed people (like the ones in tsoe audio vids) and how females were viewed in the time. You can already find trailers on youtube. I think the songs lyricly connect to the movie storyline.
I am no fan of Lana, since i think some of her stuff is grand in arrangements but lyrics ruin everything for me. But these two are really nice.

![]() "Failing to impress was songstress Lana Del Rey, who wore a vintage Travilla dress, vintage shoes, a Ferragamo clutch, and XIV Karats diamonds. The 29-year-old, who loves to experiment with her style, has been compared to Elvis' ex-wife, Priscilla Presley, and some even hailed her a 'Seventies mermaid'. The turquoise gown did nothing to complement the pregnant star's porcelain skin and the ruched waistline was far from flattering." Credits: DailyMail Too bad her song didn't make it to Golden Globes. And yes, although I love her so much, sometimes her fashion just... And pregnant? Wait. What? ![]() |

that old style make up though. Holy crap. My grandmothers both did their make up like that. Straight out of the 50s.
I like the dress. Def not that flattering though. New songs are ok. Not my thing.

I think it is the whole purpose to look like an old-fashioned Hollywood-star, but I wish she toned down her make up a little. Not her best look, but it is not hideous either.
But wtf? Pregnant? |

The pregnant thingy turn out to be just a rumours made by some gossip site called mediamass which make media criticism through satire. Mmm... correct me wrong, Ayu also has been bashed by this media too right? Couple of months ago.
And yes, Lana always, and I proud to say ALWAYS again, never get the dress well on the red carpet. It's like she choose a dress without a help from a reputable stylist. And yes, she need to hit gym more to get toned. Everywhere is getting flabby and messy. She can look awesome if she want to, like when she appeared in GQ magz wearing white swimsuit two years ago. And I know that she only want to be recognized from her musicality, but that doesn't mean she have to neglected her appearance. She's a fucking damn icon! |

Nah, my opinion stand still, this is good
![]() Aaanyway, her two new song for Big Eyes seems didn't make it in the Oscar. Still, surprised to see Lost Stars from Begin Again in the list. |

Sorry, I can't really compare a magazine shoot to a red carpet photo, unless we get an unphotoshopped version. It wouldn't surprise me if she was the same size back then and they just 'smoothed' it out.

Lana was featured on a track off Emile Haynie's new album (who was responsible for most of the production on Born to Die) and I much prefer this to anything that was on Ultraviolence. It's called 'Wait for Life' and you can listen here:

Not my favourite, but still a nice song. To me it sounds like Black Beauty, one of the official unreleased songs (however Black Beauty was featured on Ultraviolence) So, nothing really refreshing.
