Exactly. She's still their highest selling artist. Back when she was responsible for 45%.. that was unreal, practically unheard of it for a record company to be so heavily reliant on one artist.

10% seems small, but when you take it in a big picture...let's say....500 million dollars....losing 10% is quite a big deal :x 50 million dollars out of your pocket!

That's due to lessening the amount of releases. Avex did this on purpose because they got a lot of grief from stock holders about it. A company relying so heavily on one artist is very risky and makes people (ESPECIALLY stockholders) very, very nervous. 10% is still quite a lot considering how many artists are under the avex label. If ayu ever decided to leave, it would leave a nasty mark.

Well look at it this way. Avex has BoA she is alot of Avex and took some percentage off ayu. And Namie Amuro took a bit off and less and less releases has been hurting AVEX that is why. But i have a feeling Ayu is about to come back stronger than before!!!

But Ayu slipped alright,, just look at the sales (usually for a single she sold 800.000 copes++ and now just to sell a half of it seems so difficult)... Another possibility is Avex has been managing so many artists. Either way, Ayu rulezzz

Wow! I didn't expect her to be raking in only 10 percent. Somehow it just seemed like more. But I guess thinking about it, it seems more realistic seeing how there are more artists under Avex now and she's not releasing as much and what not. At least Avex doesn't have all their eggs in one basket.

But as I've said before, I hope this becomes a turning point for Avex...and things begin to change for the better.

thx u ^^ for the information... about the decreasing number of ayu's single.. (the really view point by me) isnt caused by anything... coz theres time when someone is in the upper hand and so the other hand ^^
