Tbh I like Ayu's last minute more than this
I never really cared for their dancing. I just care about the music. And the music is doing nothing for me. Last year's single barely sleighed me. The last time perfume put my money in their bag was with level 3, especially parlee maker, sleeping beauty aka the second coming of butterfry, and 1mm. God that was amazing. I remember how excited I was with display, that commercial was everything. Then he go lazy and the full song was meh. Even with kyary's singles he's getting uninspired. Problem girl stole ff's battle intro riff. This song could even belong to kyary tbh. I hope relaxin in the city is good. I'd be ok with a perfume slow jam more than an upbeat one. I have low expectations for a slow jam and high ones for an upbeat jam. This is coming from a guy who's played most songs from every album like 400 times. A mess.

I've absolutely loooved each & every minute of the "Pick Me Up" PV! I thought it was very interesting to watch & even a bit dramatic, with how Perfume were, like...interacting with the versions of themselves that were inside those glass windows. I just thought it was all so cool!


Perfume looked gorgeous throughout the entire PV & their dancing was incredibly awesome, as well. Speaking of awesome, the song itself is so totally amazing! I'm in total love. I am very happily satisfied with "Pick Me Up", both song & video! and now I can't wait for "Relax In The City".

I'm digging it.

When the verse started, I got scared, but I quickly changed my mind. It's very unlike their usual. Everything is normally so structured and boring, but these verses sound like they are actually singing how they want coming and going with a more smooth around the edges sound instead of hard right angles and straight lines confined to a box or single path like Final Fantasy XIII. I like it.

And everything else is so hectic and busy and epic sounding and then the cinematography and the lighting. I love it. This just seems so fresh, new and different which is what they needed.

And a DISTINCT sound finally! Like this song stands out by itself even without the video.

So we can finally add another song to this list:

Handyman (Even though this isn't as appreciated as the others on this list but it belongs here factually)
(There's one more I'm missing, but I can't remember the name. It was a B-Side and got a music video after the fact. I keep wanting to call it ZIP IT but I know that's not it. It's not really on the same level as these songs. I put it a peg below Handyman.)

And the concept. Great. I don't know what it is, but kudos to them for using their imagination and trying. I'm sold. Nevermind forgot about $h#t in The City.

Me too! You know Nakata ain't loyal to these chicks when he be handing out songs. It's like he's mad at 'em. All the time.

And Yeah, I feel like Nakata is all about the Pretty and overly Polished and Neatly Packaged Songs now.

I feel like if we ever get another Edge, it'll be an unintended mistake. If Suzuki Ami was still here......

I will say I hate edge's chorus to bit. My favourite part is the very last bit where they start having strokes and repeating their lines over and over as if they are malfunctioning robots.

The Album version extends the end so you get to hear more of It. Just a little bit.

EDIT: And why does Kashiyuka look like she's about to summon Bahamut in that Yuna dress? lol

They had a cameo in this video, because perfume had a cameo at the beginning of one of their music videos.

and I absolutely love every second of this song. It's right up there with handy man, hurly burly, and edge.

It's bit different than their usual routine. And it works.
So is the music video, which already is one of my favourites.
Just love the whole thing.
Now I have to consider buying the single - even if I gonna dislike Relax In The City.

"Someone mentioned Shopaholic, which you could say is what the parts with Kashiyuka and Nocchi running away with themselves represents. And it doesn't end well for them.

Kashiyuka ends up surrounded by the faceless mannequins with no clothes on possible representating all of the mannequins she's stripped naked to buy their clothes and they want them back and you see even then she grips her other self in the clothes still not wanting to let go. And they are faceless because they represent all of the stolen identities Kashiyuka stole and used their credit cards to buy all the clothes. They want their stuff back. Kashiyuka is about to die. They slaughter her in the name of a good credit score.

Meanwhile Nocchi runs and runs until she reaches a dead end, I guess she ran out of money and everything else, lost her family, her job, her car, bankruptcy and all she has is her other self in that last outfit she bought and instead of turning back and facing consequences she jumps and commits suicide and gives up everything for that one last outfit. Even her life.

As for A-Chan.......I'm guessing she didn't even make it out the store. Looks like she sat right in the store snatching up clothes stealing, holding onto everything not given a fuq who sees and probably got caught and went to jail. She was the most wreckless. She was probably drunk. Hugging mannequins and sh¡t. I can't.
