 I do this all the time on threads like this, not sure why, but I do so like summaries of data Here are the songs most often mentioned so far: 1. Mirrorcle World 2. Love song 3. Sparkle 4. BRILLANTE 5. Rule 6. Microphone 7. Virgin Road 8. progress 9. kiss o' kill 10. Don't look back 11. Last angel 12. Wake me up 13. JEWEL 14. crossroad That's everything that got mentioned 8 or more times, in order of popularity. Would make a pretty awesome mix CD for someone who hasn't listened to ayu much since A BEST 2, definitely.

This list is actually not even kind of based around personal bias. I think these are the songs that gained "classic" status through performances, popularity, etc. And...there are a lot of them.
-Fairyland -STEP you -Bold & Delicious' -Heaven -Will -1 LOVE -BLUE BIRD -momentum -To a certain extent, I think JEWEL kind of counts -Mirrorcle World -MY ALL -Rule -Days -Microphone -Sunrise -Love Songs -Virgin Road -Progress -BRILLANTE -how beautiful you are -Wake me up -You & Me -XOXO -Terminal -Feel the love -Last Minute (I know it's a little early for these but it's more like...A guess....) -The GIFT Then there are songs that are like...secondary classics. XD Such as... -Pride -is this LOVE (which I really considered putting on the list above...>.>) -I pretty much want to list all of Secret but... -Together When... Now, like I said, these are in no way my favorites, though there are plenty of them I love.

I don't like these lists cause the benchmarks for what is "classic" are so different. People end up just listing songs they like, when in reality, it's better to think of this question more so as "what are the hamasaki ayumi essentials post 2006."

I will try to be objective and not throw just my personal favourites but more like a compilation of songs that were popular and songs that stand in her discography
JEWEL: it really stands as a ballad, it has magic around it BLUE BIRD: her last huge hit Mirrorcle World: the creation of a new sound that would pave the way for sending mail, snowky kiss, The Show Must Go On etc Days: it was pretty popular Sparkle: Still Ayu's best dance/electro song, the original NaNaNa, Lelio etc Microphone: defly different from all of her rock songs Love Song: unique in every single aspect progress: very anime-ish, but excellently executed, and it was pretty popular too I would personally add BRILLANTE and specially Sexy Little Things, both of them are rare jewels. Oh, and Don't Look Back too

Blue bird, JEWEL, momentum : These songs were her last big hits at the end of the 06 era.
Mirrorcle World will always be remembered for her 10th anniversary song. progress and song 4 u are tied to the tales of games (hugely popular like how simple and clean does it for utada and kingdom hearts). Also progress was tied to the eq in japan. Brilliante, tell all, love songs, mircophone, my all, & red line would be just fan favorites classics. Days, glitter, together when..., sunrise, you were... were her biggest hits after 06. I think colours and a one are too new to be considered a future classic.
