You guys, Phrased Differently has a demo called Hurricane, so it might be the song. It's a freaking banger and it has some japanese lyrics. It has a very Koda Kumi sound and quite fresh, I would say.

I never know if I should post a demo song or not, since some people will start complaining that "it's another demo" and not a "brand new song" all over again, even tho the person have never heard the song before and blabla.

...Ahh! I am so super & totally excited about this "Summer of Love" release! Some of my most favorite songs (ever!) from kuu, have actually been from most of her summer singles (I remember the first time I've listened to "4 hot wave" back in 2006...when I was only 14! ) so I am completely on board with this whole release, especially when there are also three new songs, included! I just looove the jazzy sound of "NO ONE ELSE BUT YOU" & I think "EX TAPE" is sounding so hot so far, as well. Now, I can only imagine what "HURRICANE" must sound like... I can't wait for the PVs!!!

Speaking of hot, the covers for "Summer of Love" are stunning...absolutely stunning! I love kuu's new hair color/hairstyle & her entire look on these covers is just perfect! If I had to choose one favorite cover, I'd say it would be the CD+Blu-ray. So totally excited for this release! It just wouldn't be summer without yet another fabulous release from kuu.

I was hoping the three tracks would dip back into EDM again, and start bringing Koda away from this cheap trap sound she's been playing with for the last few years. The hip hop / trap / crunk sound is cool for a record or two, but Koda is a dancefloor diva. You can't actually dance to this stuff for more than a song or two before you've seen all it has to offer, let alone Koda's almost three consecutive albums this sound has been a big part of.

I at least liked the mix in J and BV. WOML was pretty flat, not much more than this type of music to offer, which I think is a big part of why every song is so short. You just can't reasonably repeat the same line 16 times in a row without grating some nerves.

Well, here's to hoping we hear some EDM from Koda again soon. Like Physical thing/Driving/ECSTACY/UNIVERSE/TABOO EDM. I miss it.

NO ONE ELSE BUT YOU and EX TAPE don't sound summerish at all. They sound like regular songs to me which is pretty disappointing.

The covers though look...Awful, honestly. That shade of blonde doesn't match her skin tone, that brown dress looks uninspired and bland. All that brown she's wearing doesn't match with the backround. Everything looks out of place though Her boots are pretty .

I just can't haha During the release of UNIVERSE/Dejavu there were SO many people complaining that she was releasing the same electropop over and over again with TABOO - Driving - ECSTASY - Physical thing - UNIVERSE - STEP INTO MY WORLD - POP DIVA and the list goes by. I know it's a matter of taste, but I think it's so funny how the complains repeats so much.

I'm talking about this because I always try to embrace all the sides of her music career. I'm following her career since 2006 and she went back and forth with so many styles, and I feel it is amazing how she keep trying some different things, specially talking about the japanese music market. Go on, Kumi!

The only thing I miss is a cute song I need sugar...

JUICY is fucking boring. It's just like a bunch of sound effects and sounds so disjointed. It has very little life to it. It doesn't ever really kick off, and just sounds like a bunch of verses thrown together. The chorus is so weak.

Some of these were great and some were less than others, that's why people probably complained.

My favorite style of kuu was probably the sexiest songs and the oldies style of affection until secret.

I also wasn't so fond of JUICY when the single was released because it sounded like some random beats where it never takes off and bangs, but I realy love it now.

And HURRICANE definitely sounds like a kuu song, there's even a singer that sounds a bit like her with the high key vocals.

It depends on how kuu will make it her own (in a good way).

It is a really smart release. Her summer singles are the most popular. And this collection offers 15 summer songs plus 15 videos - for a really good price.
About 20€/25 US$ for the DVD edition and about 25€/30US$ for the BluRay, that's a nice deal.

I think the covers are quite goods (specificly if you compare with the beach mix ones!)

The compilation is a good mix between single (3 new songs AND 3 new MV) and best of
The price is nice (ayu release, for the same price, only 3 music video and problably less tracks on the cd!)

for no-fans, it's a good way to discover her with summer & catchy songs with a cheap but complete album
for fans, we have the extra content + bluray mv!

the release day is cool too for sells (before a nation month, not during ayu release : i think about a single during the ayu album release, but it's better like that) and for fans (after the live tour, before the summer live, maybe she could do some promo )

You get a special poster for every 3 copies you buy trough FC in one order. So... you buy 3 copies, you get 1 special poster, with 6 you get 2 and so on.
Just between 05/29 - 06/30 though.
