Genki Amakawa from flumpool is in a serious relationship with Yuri Takami

It was revealed that Genki Amakawa, the bassist from the popular rock band flumpool, is now in a serious relationship with a TV talent Yuri Takami.

Amakawa formed the band with his friends from hometown in 2007 and made its debut in October 2008 with a download single "花になれ / Hana ni nare".
They have a string of hit songs since their debut and in just one year, in October 2009 they made it to NIPPON BUDOKAN. What's more, they appeared on Kouhaku for 3 consecutive years since 2009. It is still fresh in our memory that between April and September 2012, "Answer", the B-side of "君をつれて / Kimi wo Tsurete", had been used as a theme song for "めざましどようび / Mezamashi Doyoubi" ,a morning show on which Takami regularly appears.

Takami regularly appears on Fuji Television's morning infotainment show "Mezamashi TV" as an entertainment news presenter. The beautiful woman was chosen as Mss Rikkyo University during her university years and also later won a grand prize for "Miss of Miss Campus Queen Contest 2008", which is a pageant to choose the Miss out all the Miss Campus winners. She is becoming popular for her pleasant smile and good-girl look.

According to people familiar with the matter, they first met through their mutual friend and since then she has visited his gigs. It is believed that they have been together since last year. Incidentally, there is not yet a rumour of their marriage. The relationship seems to be going well as they meet often in Tokyo area despite their busy schedules. The couple - an adorable newscaster Takami and Amawkawa, who is popular among the young - will surely gain attention from the public.

flumpool prepare for their outdoor live with a new single release

It's been revealed that flumpool will release their new single (currently untitled) on August 5.

This single will be released in preparation for their first outdoor live "flumpool Manatsu no Yagai★LIVE 2015『FOR ROOTS』~Osaka Fields Forever~" scheduled to be held on August 8 and 9 at Oizumi Ryokuchi Park in Osaka. The single will include the summer tune "Natsu yo Tomenaide ~You're Romantic~" produced by Kameda Seiji and the acoustic tune "Kimi ga Ita Kara". As the special track, it will contain "Let Tomorrow Be", which was provided as the theme song for 'BIMA-X', a super hero TV series in Indonesia.

The Limited Edition DVD will include a footage called "SAKAI PerfecTV! (tentative)", as well as a documentary.

flumpool reveal new artist photo, title & jacket covers for new single

The title of flumpool's new single, which will be released on August 5, has been determined to be "Natsu yo Tomenaide ~You're Romantic~". They've revealed a new artist photo as well as jacket covers for the single.

"Natsu yo Tomenaide ~You're Romantic~" will be released in preparation for their first outdoors live "flumpool Manatsu no Yagai★LIVE 2015『FOR ROOTS』~Osaka Fields Forever~" scheduled to be held on August 8 and 9 at Oizumi Ryokuchi Park in Osaka. The first song off of the track list has been chosen as the title of the new single.

In the new artist photo and jacket covers, the members strike a pose while looking through a lens. The artist photo and limited edition jacket cover feature the members with face paint.

flumpool performed in Taiwan yesterday for 3,000 fans & here's some partial footages from last night's concert

Among the songs they performed yesterday included a Chinese version of Hoshi ni Negai wo , Belief ~Haru wo Matsu Kimi e~ , a cover of Taiwan rock band Mayday's OAOA & Taisetsu na Mono wa Kimi Igai ni Miataranakute

And it's pretty something they tried their best to speak in Chinese cos for a Japanese to do that , it's really not easy at all :x

Also the last part where Ryuuta broke down upon singing Taisetsu na Mono wa Kimi Igai ni Miataranakute broke my heart T_T

Ryuuta dedicated Taisetsu na Mono wa Kimi Igai ni Miataranakute to the victims of the recent Taiwan powder fire when this horrible accident took place last weekend , bless him

flumpool: 3000 fans in Taiwan delighted. “Next time I want to play two days”

Flumpool played a special concert called “FANRENPU 2015 Taipei YANCHANHUI flumpool Taiwan Special Live @ TICC” at Taipei, Taiwan’s International Convention Center.

This was flumpool’s third solo concert in Taiwan, following “experience Taiwan HATSUTAIKEN concert” in 2013 and “”MOMENT’ tour Sōngshān wén chuàng yuánqū yī hào cāngkù gōngyǎn” in 2014. Being that this will the band’s first hall show, they stepped up the scale to increase flumpool’s presence in Taiwan and Asia.

Flumpool opened with “HOSHI NI NEGAI WO”. 3000 spectators all cheered when they started the song off acoustically with Chinese lyrics. The setlist included their hits “HANA NI NARE” and “KIMI NI TODOKE”, as well as “TOARU HAJIMARI NO JOKEI ~Bookstore on the hill~” (released in May), “TSUYOKU HAKANAKU”, “NAZO” (Chinese version). They also covered Taiwanese artist Ling Chung’s big hit “Xiàng qián zǒu”. The performance united the hearts of the local fans, and several fans were even seen crying.

Vocalist Ryuta Yamamoto spoke in Chinese for the whole show and excited the fans. Ever since the band performed in Kaohsiung, Taiwan in 2011, Yamamoto studied Chinese in order to “convey his feelings to the local fans in his own words.” Yamamoto even lived in Taiwan for two months to study, and the fans were impressed with his Chinese skills as a result. Yamamoto finally said, “Next time, I want to play two days at this venue! I will work even harder, so bring all of your friends!”

Flumpool will release their new single, “NATSUYO TOMENAIDE ~You’re Romantic~” (“SkyPa! 2015 J-League TV commercial song”), on August 5.
They will hold “flumpool MANATSU NO YAGAI LIVE 2015 “FOR ROOTS” ~Osaka Fields Forever~” on August 8 and 9 at Oizumi Ryokuchi in their hometown of Osaka.
